Delighted in Brad Scott. Been outstanding and exceeded expectations!

The Chad Fletcher incident over in Las Vegas - Josh Fraser and Nick Maxwell, close observers? Did they dob him in?
Caroline Wilson mentioned there is a behind the scenes slanging match between Collingwood and West Coast, but Malthouse refuses to belive her accusations.

Nathan Buckley's injury is fine, but he may be rested a few times throughout the year, like last year.

I wanted to hear his thoughts about a few players. But I guess he was in a rush to get to training.

I wonder if Buckley will play round 2 against the Eagles in Perth? I don't believe he will.

Last season he was rested for this particular match, although it was in round 6 (I think).

I wouldn't expect to see him until round 3, verses Richmond.

Buckley has not been rested, he is injured and hasnt trained for weeks.

Every training session he misses renders him less and less likely for round 1.

He once again did not train today.

That was a shocking interview. Why didn't Maher/Watson/Brown....forget about Brownless but why didn't anyone ask them how training was going, how are the young kids going, when will Didak return etc.

Because it is an ordinary show presented by a guy who loves the sound of his own voice, a guy who only knows how to act dumb and another who tries to be many things he is not.

It is contrived, fake, unfunny etc etc. I only listen to it because it is the only fix of sport I can get on the way to work.

Give me the ox(honest, passionate, seems to even like the pies)anytime. the drive home is 10 time the program that the morning glory is. The morning glory should leave comedy to comedians and focus on sport.

Wouldnt it be nice to win a game against the Lions at the gabba for once.

If we cant win without Buckley at his age we're in a pretty poor state.

It would also be nice to have Buckley fit in September. If he needs to be rested, midseason is the time that he needs a rest, not round 2. If he's being rested, then the long haul trip to Brisbane is the obvious choice, plus maybe another game very late in the season.

Timmy, it's not a matter of "if we cant win without bucks" this season with bucks up forward, you will see a huge difference in our forward line.

For that reason there is no point resting bucks if we dont win enough games to make the finals.

I'm remembering the fact that he was rested twice last year, once mid season and once late in the season, and that it worked well and we ended up finishing fifth - in fact top four but for percentage. If it has to be the Brisbane game that we rest him in, well so be it. Thats the draw we are given and thats the most suitable game in terms of time of year to leave Buckley out of the team.

I just cant see why you'd give him a "midseason break" in Round 2 - it makes no sense, especially if he's already had limited game time in the preseason.

Whose to say, Timmy?

At the end of the day, Mick has the final word, but Bucks will keep him informed as to suggest when he feels he could need a rest and there will be times during the year when he will sit out.
One thing's for sure, as long as Buckley can compete, Collingwood will be stronger in his presence; he is the captain, he can't afford to miss too many games IMO.

No he won’t. He will desperately want to play every game just as he did last year. He will be made to rest just as he was last year.

Hey, you are you actually referring to?? Watson or Mahar??

He will be rested more than last year, He wont like it but it will keep him from injury then he wont have to sit on the sidelines injured
