We pumped 66 games into Jake Neade before we realised he was not even SANFL standard but at 11 disposals and .8 goals a game he is almost Eddie Betts when compared to Jed and his 8 disposals and .5 goals per game

There basically is no other option at present anyway.
It certainly doesn’t help with SPP going down. I’ve seen the magpies play a few times this year. Tom Anastasopoulos looks promising. He’s quick, a nice mover and has good goal sense. But there’s not much of him. But having said that his tackling has surprised me. He’s one worth watching

Great tackle at the end. At the game, from my seat on the outer, I thought he kicked it, until I saw everyone hugging DBJ.

I saw him rushing into that pack situation.

Yea I don't mind him either but he's a pup.

I honestly wished they called it holding the ball and he kicked after the siren, as the memes whether he kicked it or not would’ve all time legendary
Even I can admit a McEntee winner after the siren would have led to some truly elite banter, albeit most of it at my expense. Especially given that it would have followed him having done absolutely nothing for the three quarters and 19:50 minutes beforehand, which if anything would have only added to the banter.

The McEntee selection would be like picking a specialist fielder in the Australian cricket team.

Sure, he’ll get a few nice run outs every now and then, but is it enough?
It is for those in charge if that's his role, I think we are gonna see more pressure forwards with no objective to get the ball at all it's all about blocking, niggle & tackling.

We might have to get used to it & rate their performances by different metrics.

Didn't Kane Mitchell kick a last minute winner against Norf once?

He kicked the sealer in round 3, 2015 against North.

I never understood the Mitchell hate on here though. Sure, he was limited as a player, but he ran his absolute guts out and was imo the best sub in the league at the time, because his running completely opened up games in the midfield.

His disposal was awful. But he got about 4x the amount of footy, had more tackles per game, more 1%ers and scored as many goals a game as Jed.

All i can remember of Kane Mitchell is the time that BT thought he kicked a barrel in the air and then ran 100 meters and caught it himself

And that time we employed 2 taggers (Mitchell and Ebert) against Richmond

Hawthorn owe Amon a lot, we at Port Adelaide owe him more, where our two late goals came from his mistakes.

Watching Mitchell miss a tackle against a swans midfielder (Kennedy I think), when he came in from the side and had Kennedy completely unaware (I think Kennedy then turned and goaled or some bs) led to my one and only ban from the port forum. Very limited footballer was Mitchell.

He was a bit of a fan favourite I reckon because he was just an honest, hard worker, never give up type of player, seemed like a good bloke too.
