I hope Connolly changes a lot of players before next week. We are gonna need heart to even match it with Geelong. I'd like to see the following team take the field.

Walker Haddrill Parker
Dodd McPharlin Mundy
Black J.Carr Headland
Medhurst Pavlich Johnson
Longmuir Murphy Bell
R: Sandilands M.Carr Cook

Int: Thornton, Peake, Gilmore, McManus

OUT: Farmer (susp. - possible), Siegert, Webster, Schammer, Schofield, Polak, Grover. Hasleby Injured.

IN: Walker, Haddrill, Dodd, Johnson, Murphy, Peake, Gilmore, McManus.

Now i'll explain. I hope Farmer doesn't get suspended cause we need his aggression. Siegert, Webster, Schammer, Schofield and Grover need no explaining. Are fringe players at best who are not performing. Find some form Schammer and Schofield your best is better than this.

Polak was pathetic. Find form in the WAFL. Hasleby is obviously injured. This is doing his confidence no good.

The club has been criticised for selecting Polak, Schammer, Hasleby and Schofield when they are not match fit, and rightly so. Hadrill and Walker will be in the same boat next week. No one returning from injury should be selected until a stand out performance in the WAFL.

I expect the changes for next week to be-
Out- Grover, Webster
In- Dodd, Smith.

Hasleby, Polak, Headland and Schofield should be dropped but it's vey unlikely because they are some of Connolly's favourites.

Hase... I would think this guy would be every coach in the AFL's favourite. Simon Black got 5 handballs, no kicks the other week... then about 35 touches the week after. You don't drop them unless they are really unfit.
Polak... probably was rushed back too quickly, but you have other people saying he hasn't developed. I don't think tall players will develop much in the WAFL where they won't always be playing on big AFL sized players.
Headland... I've said enough in other threads.
Schofield... Too early to say if he's a favourite or not. We'll know in a couple of weeks.

The problem is that Hasleby is clearly injured. If he can't get down and win the ball himself he should have a rest. In 2001 he was unfit and his form was poor, after being fantastic in his debut year and winning the rising star. He's a player that needs to be at or very close to 100%, because he's certainly not going to hurt the opposition with pace.

Polak has developed, but hopefully by next season he'll be around the 95kg mark and ready to hold down CHB for a full season.

Headlands form prior to his injury and against the pies was very good, but he seemed disinterested on the weekend. His kicking for a guy paid good money to be a finisher is sometimes poor.

Schofield shouldn't have been selected until he put in a dominant performance for Subi. With Bell still not 100% after missing the preseason and Hase not fully fit you can't afford to have 3 players underdone.

Hopefully some changes are made this week, the 22 that run out on skilled stadium are fully committed and we have a red hot crack. If we play our best football we can be very competitive this weekend, Geelong will be very confident just like Melbourne were and lets hope we can come home with 4 points.

OUT: IN:
Webster - Dodd
Seigert - Gilmore
Polak - Warren
Sandilands - Johnson
Haselby - Smith
Schammer - McManus
Headland - Murphy

What's needed:

Out: Polak, Schammer, Hasleby, Webster, Schofield
In: Johnson, Smith, Gilmore, McManus, someone else, walker if fit.

And if Matthew Carr puts a hair out of place during training give him the arse.

What's likely:
Out: Siegert
In: Walker

SETTLE DOWN!
bulk replacements aren't needed.
Schofield and Webster will go, and maybe Hase/McPharlin if their injuries aren't improving. Headland should stay. Siegert should stay.
Given their efforts at KPark last year, Smith and Dodd will come in. Johnson if McPharlin is out. Polak will have a good game on Ottens/King when they are in the forward line. Hadrill, only if absolutely fully fit should come in, maybe at the expense of Grover.

Just make sure we bring some sun visors for CC and the coaches.

Lets not go overboard, season wise Headland has done enough to stay in. But Webster has not so I think its time for him to go.
And for crying out loud of Haselby and McPharlin are injured let them rest, what is one week compared to a season of half performances due to injury?

Would love to see some mass changes myself.

We'll lose full strength anyway, may as well make a statement to some players and have a look at some kids.

You never know, we might be a better chance of a win with them in.. worked for the hawks.
