Just a thought starter to break the gloom and doom coming out from the last 3 matches. Who's the most underrated player the Crows have ever had? We all acknowledge all the out and out champs we've had (like McLeod and Rehn) and all recognize the ones who are rated highly by most commentators (multiple All-Australians like Hart, Roo and Goodwin), but who's the player, current or gone, who never gets the credit he deserves?
For mine, I'd nominate Rod Jameson, just ahead of Scott Lee and David Pittman. I really can't remember Jammo getting too many pastings from the full forwards of the league over the years, and he was a handy pinch hitter as a forward. Scott Lee barely played a bad game for the Crows between 91-93, and travelled particularly well, something that wasn't a feature for some of his high profile teammates. And Pittman was pretty damn versatile as a ruckman/CHB enforcer. His job on Stewie Loewe in the 97 GF, and a couple of the shutdowns he gave Plugger spring to mind.
Any thoughts or other nominees?
