Not a dig, because he is a champion player, but how often does Buddy the cheap handball or loose ball over the back in the goalsquare.

Happens every week.

Not a dig but you ask and answer your own question?

The only cheap handball over the top is when he outruns his man, he's the most tightly guarded player in the comp, or close enough to it.

Nothing cheap about burning off your man over 100 metres to receive a handball and kick a goal, but he probably does that every other week.

Not questioning his fitness or speed, just seems to me that he looks for a few cheap ones each week.

Still a great player.

Nothing cheap about any of his goals, as a Carlton fan you probably see Franklin live once a year for the last few years and he's been pretty good against you guys. Some players you need to see live to appreciate how they operate.

As a Fremantle fan I watched as Buddy was outpointed comprehensively by Luke Macpharlin in last years elimination final.

A player capable of matching Buddy athletically showed him up.

Possibly ducked matching up on Macpharlin again this year.

U still mad because we pwned the shockers without Franklin a couple of weeks back.... Rioli made a mockery of your backline.

Franklin but I would have Watson infront of Selwood and possibly Pendelbury
Sure - You know, Pendlebury has only been statistically the best player in the competition, despite playing in a weakened side missing its #1 ruckman and its best midfielder.

Essendon's not the worst team in the league though, so Jobe Watson would definitely be better, despite missing two games with a hamstring.

Oh, hold on - Just realised that you said "Pendelbury". I don't know who he is, but Watson is probably better.

Man, it would have been crazy if you were suggesting that Watson had been better than Scott Pendlebury this year...

FWIW, my vote went to Franklin, but Pendlebury is a very close second.

I'd rank them

1. Murphy
2. Pendles
3. Franklin
4. Judd
5. Selwood

Murphy is having an outstanding season and yet most commentators with tunnel vision aren't recognising his achievements because of their ridiculous infatuation with Judd.

Agree with this. Not trying to downplay Juddy's year too much but I can definitely understand opposition fans' frustration when the commentators blab on about every single one of Judd's touches. It does get a little tiresome.
