Autopsy NMFC vs WBD

I couldn't fault today's game at all, dogs had a few gimme goals handed right to them which shifts momentum.

Typical, letting a 4 goal lead slip but to hit the front again and lose it hurts.

Really thought zeebs should of passed it off when he took that mark along the boundary. Would of shifted game massively to us!

Again better team lost

Umps were fine. Only bad decisions were the deliberate out of bounds and the ruck free kick. We lost this game; the players, captain and coach are responsible. If we could kick and had a plan to defend on transition then we would have won by 5 goals. It's utterly pathetic to attempt to shift the blame.

Cunners easily our best, followed by Brown. Simpkin showed plenty. Liked Mullett's and Williams games as well. Garner promising despite butchering the footy.

Ziebell a hack, Swallow finished, Atley still a potato, Thompson solid, but still done and no role in our future. Thomas terrible, which is a shame.

Taking the piss surely?

People writing off Swallow but giving Ziebell a pass are either clueless or blind.

Negs- Atley is scared of his own shadow
MacMillan is overrated
Players spoiling each other going for ridiculous speckies
Game Day Thread Posters. How do you have time to watch the game and spew continuos bile ?

Pos- We had aerial dominance
Interesting people can see things so differently.

McMillan was one of our better players in my opinion.

Made a few mistakes but also gave us insane rebound and pressure.

Left at half time because I couldn't deal with knowing we couldn't sustain two more quarters of that and come on top.
Ump's can go f*** themselves.
A midfield rotation of Cunnington, Swallow and Higgins just works better.
Moving forward, we need more crumming and another reliable set of hands up the ground. E.g Wood.

We don't have it in us to win a close game.

1) it shouldn't have even been close, 5 goals up and we start p1ssing it up.

2) not only do we p1ss it up but Scott has no plan to halt opposition momentum, they were in front 10 minutes later!

3) the names have already been mentioned, why are they still playing?

4) Lindsay is a choker, I don't care if it's the last kick of the game you nail that to win the game especially after a putrid entry 20 seconds earlier, if we were on the receiving end I guarantee you the opposition breaks our heart with a last gasp goal...then again our skills under no pressure are pathetic enough.

5) this team has heart, I will never question the commitment, they gave it everything, but they have killed me 4 rounds in with 2 unloseable games.

Honestly thought we were pretty good. Not a bad performance at all.

Effort was there, but we are shooting ourselves in the foot with our skills. They are terribly bad, that's the only frustration I have coming out of tonight. They get worse every week.

Would have really loved the win, mostly so all the negative nancies in the gameday thread could bite me, but it's the year of the long view. 1. A close, exiting game in front of a big crowd today with lots of money raised is much more important long term for the club than who wins. 2. We don't need wins as much as we need young players stepping up, and Simpkin, Garner and Turner alone gave me greater confidence in the future of the list, while Cunnington was immense. 3. I never want to see Shinboners tank and I didn't today, but as a supporter I'm ok with looking at the glass half full from fierce contests that yield no points. 4. This season, 0-4 gets us closer to more transition on field. We don't need fools' gold.

Why do I have the nagging feeling most posters banging their keyboards about losing this will be back complaining Scott plays too many experienced players over newbies and they'd be be fine with losing games?

Not ashamed by the team but ffs hit some passes !

It is quiet hard to see who to drop everyone played just as bad as eachother.

Garner was awesome just lacked confidence to kick straight

Taking the piss surely?
Apart from those two what other obvious errors were there? Called good free kicks our way that they could have missed (ie Murphy on Turner and Libba's throw).

I hope the players have some extra skills session during the week, because our kicking in the first half was absolutely terrible. In the end I think we were a little unlucky, in the second half all the 50-50 or stupid calls went the Bulldogs way. For the most part our defence held up well, but if we could just improve our entires into the forward half we could steal a few of the close games.
