I will never, ever agree it's the right call. Eyes on the ball, heading towards the ball, not a chance in hell Fell-t gets to it. Poor decision.
Not sure his eyes were on the ball changed his line of path. That’s a clear escort. The issue is the challenge system it’s become a farce.
How drunk were you when this incident happened?
Even Feldt couldn't believe that he sucked in the bunker
How can the Cowboys challenge a non-decision? The ref made no call so it can't be challenged. Thats the rules, so the NRL must reverse that result otherwise its total bullshit. They wont tho because gambling matters. Maybe gamblers could sue the league no matter whether they keep the result or decide to reverse it. But its a very black day for the NRL.
And thats not even factoring in all the favoritism the ref showed toward the Cowboys all game, Tigers not receiving a six again despite them being there.

I have the tiniest possible sliver of sympathy as i think the escort rule and the obstruction rule are a little difficult in the sense they are written really robustly and dont leave much room for interpretation but yeh... its a shocker of a call, especially with the front on angleAbsolutely zero chance it was an escort. Never once did his eyes move from where the ball was going. Not once.
An escort implies the defending player knows where the attacking player is, he genuinely had no idea.
Worst call I've seen in some time.
I could swallow it if it was made on field, the fact it's made from a bunker, with all the replays available etc.
Klein should be dropped for the rest of the season for that.
Panthers, Cowboys, Sharks, Broncos, Storm (in order) are the only genuine possibles to make the GF. And you could whittle that down to Panthers, Sharks, Cowboys. And maybe even just Panthers, Sharks.
Penrith should canter in. But there have been similar years in the recent past where the Storm, say, dominated the regular season, similar amount of losses all year, thrashings dealt out, but come grand final, either won a close battle or lost the game.I will be shocked if Penrith do not win it with ease. They are a level above everyone else.

Not sure Melbourne have ever been in a situation where they were 4 games (should've been 5) clear at the top with a month to go.Penrith should canter in. Few years ago they were, they rested players coming home to freshen themselves up.Not sure Melbourne have ever been in a situation where they were 4 games (should've been 5) clear at the top with a month to go.
Just so im clear, youre in the bunker, its referred to you, you watch those replays, youre calling an escort and giving NQL a penalty? If this shows one thing, it's that judgement calls shouldn't be able to be challenged. If they keep the challenge system it should be for knock ons and anything completely black and white. An escort is not, it's very judgemental, I thought it was an escort, others didn't. So we have challenges based on 50/50 calls. Don't particularly like it.

He's allowed to and he's actually taken the direct line to the ball anyway. The onus isn't on him to watch out for Feldt, as long as his eyes remain solely on the ball.Yes I am. I feel it was an escort, he's moved from the direct line. That is an escort personally. However it's the single most absused rule in rugby league every second kick is an escort. It is why I believe an escort shouldn't be able to be challenged as it's extremely 50/50, and it should be left up to the on field ref/touch judges.
My issue is with the challenge itself not with the application as I feel it's a penalty personally. Now many won't agree fully get that.

Parra won't even make the 8, Canberra will
