Re: Perrie has told the WA clubs he wants to come home.

I hope Pez doesn't want to go home but if he did his finals form would have increased his trade value quite substantially I would have thought..

Re: Perrie has told the WA clubs he wants to come home.

I am getting really worried (and confused) with all this Perrie talk, Does any1 know for certain if he wants to go?

If I were him Id be happy to be at any club but then, after this year I think he has something to offer.

Would be missed. Does anyone know if anything may have happend while the boys were in WA
:)

Certainly not - last thing on the eagles or Perries mind

IMO just a contract negotiation ploy ;)

mmmmm Trying to up his price a bit hey.
Add a few more zeros to his pay-check ;)
:)

Re: Perrie has told the WA clubs he wants to come home.

NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

We have to KEEP Ian and not let him go home. He has developed so much in the last 12 months and is incredibly important to our forward line. We can't just keep 'letting' players go home! Come ON!!!

Perrie has been extremely important to our forward line structure this year, two second rounders just wont cut it.

This is a crap he is a s*it player and 2 second rounders is far to good a deal for the Crows. YOU CAN KEEP HIM we don't want Perrie give him to Freo if he wants to go back to Perth.

You're a bum mate.

Like has already been said, he is a 40 goal forward. Takes a strong overhead mark and has a heart as big as Pharlap.

Lynch isn't fit enough to shine Perrie's shoes, Hanson is still developing and Gardiner isn't a classic tall marking forward.

Whatever Perrie drops or makes a contest for (which he always does), Matera can crumb the spoils. He would do wonders for your forward line set up.

Perrie kicked 38 goals in 24 games. Lynch kicked 31 goals in 22 games. Like I said, he would be a upgrade on Lynch but not a huge one. Lynch is younger and has only really played his first full season at FF. Perrie has been playing forward for years and this year was by far his best. And we are talking about a backup (Lynch) who was forced to play because of injuries. Of course I expect you to rate him highly but from our point of view trading for him isn't really worth it IMO.

Id guess maybe upgrade our third rounder to a 2nd, Damien Adkins will leave, Rowan Jones can be traded, McConnell might be traded, Green could be used to upgrade a 3rd rounder to a 2nd, I think gettin another 2nd rounder wont be much of an issue.

WE DON'T WANT HIM leave this argument alone he is crap.

Doesnt sound like you will have that much choice in the end im afraid. Unlike Stinger we will not throw the kitchen sink at Perrie to get him, we would not trade our first rounder this year, i think 2 2nd rounders is the best you can hope for.

really? I would say it's EXACTLY like stinger.

not least of all, if Sarge wants to head back, then he has been in contact with both clubs throughout the year, and if he has gotten encouragement from one or both teams - they will have decided if they are prepared to pay the price. The player & manager will have required confirmation of that, precisely what happened with Stinger.

do you think any player asks to be traded somewhere without having a commitment that he is wanted and a willing to get i done?

but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Time for the AFC to swallow their pride and admit they made a mistake by not taking Pavlich. None of this "15 other clubs ignored him" rubbish, and get serious about making a play for Pav. Might be our last chance.

crap.

this 15 other clubs stuff is basic, plain fact. this is unarguable.

Well, Lynch has only kicked 31 goals (and has been roundly criticised) while Perrie has kicked 39. Lynchy is 22 and a makeshift FF. He hadnt played that role before, apart from 4 games in his first year. He played CHB in 2003 and thats the position he plays in the WAFL.

Lynch averages 1 tackle per game....Perrie averages 1.1

Perrie averages 13 posessions per game, while Lynchy averages 9.

Considering their age difference and the fact that Perrie is in suppsed good form while Lynch has struggled and was dropped...the difference doesnt seem huge. Hence, I think your comment that a comparision is a joke is unfounded.

tackles? is that what your statistical comparison has been left with?
why don't you measure them all up, or have you already done that and chosen to omit some.
what about contested marks, there is no one in your team that takes more.

ps. I did the stat comparison a few months ago, so I already know the answer ;)

Last word - Shirly is not an automatic selection or an indespensible despite what some think

despite what the supporters, club, coach and playing staff think?

Okay lets play your game:

Pro stats

Contested Marks, Goals, Contested Possesions, Inside 50s are all very close. You would agree that they would be the most important stats for a forward?

Is Perrie better? Yes.
Has Perrie played more games? Yes.
Is Perrie older? Yes.
Is Perrie a specialist forward? Yes.

Is Perrie worth bending over backward for? No.

Re: Perrie has told the WA clubs he wants to come home.

Factor in that Perrie plays on the third best tall defender and Lynch takes the first best tall defender.

Lynch ********s all over Perrie, I remember last season, Adelaide are experts at overrating there players. You only need to read the posts on the main board before the game to realise that

P.S ROOOOOOOOOOOO

perrie will play CHF or on a HFF, lots of you guys are comparing him to lynch who plays FF from what i've seen. Its no good simply looking at perries goals, which are greater than lynch's anyway. I would say if you got perrie, you'd put gardiner or lynch at FF with hanson at CHF and perrie on a HFF. He would add alot to your team. I personally think hes better than McGreogr for us.
