If it's Ainslie it's around the corner from me and I might head over to watch (I couldn't last game unfortunately). But it seems more likely it's at Manuka and they've updated the ground name but forgot to update the suburb.

I posted on Swans Academy facebook requesting a list of U19 players and numbers. Said it is difficult to know who is who when the livestream has no commentary. They just deleted my post.

Hey mate, I did a quick stint as a social media manager back in the day and managed a prominent FB. FB pages work a bit different, when you make a post, it goes to the community tab rather than the main one.

To a user it looks like it's been deleted because it doesn't appear on the main page, but actually that's just how the page works. Your post is still there, it hasn't been deleted.

The best way to get a request like that seen and responded to is to make a comment on a related post, becaue that way it will be on the main page and people will actually see it.

Don't ask me why it works that way, it just does... it's actually kinda infuriating because people think you're deleting posts when you're not and then they get angry.

Edit: also you've had a reply! They said they will do when they post the details later.

Yep. I think that would be about my third post on Facebook. I only use it to watch the Traders Fantasy podcast on Thursday nights. I'm not a social media kinda person. Thanks for the feedback. Nice to know.

Don't worry, it slips up experienced users too.

I get that pages probably want to keep their main feed to just the things they post, but it needs to be clear that there's a different section for community posts, questions, etc. It's really unclear.

When I was managing a page we had a bit of a controversy and lots of people thought their posts asking about it were being deleted. That just fed the controversy, made people angry, made my job much harder. It was a shitshow. So it's a big pet peeve of mine!

Rusty, does James Lugsdin come from out west? There were heaps of them around Hay when I was growing up there in the 60's. Wondering if he's a descendant.
