Matt spent a year or so at North Adelaide and Thomas with Port Adelaide in the SANFL prior to us picking both up, something the club was looking for was goal sneaks who were not out of their depth against bigger bodied players so we looked at several players who were playing a bit in the senior grade. Pretty excited about both kids.

We're good at developing midfielders and defenders, but we've had probably only four decent small forwards in the last 10 years - Vardy, Bond, Bode and Porplyzia.

We desperately need Douglas and Jacky to develop into 35-goals a year small forwards.

Me too, been very happy with him, just hope he can back it up when the years go by. A bit small for a regular midfield role, if he can snag his one or two goals per game for the rest of his career then he'll be perfect.

However regarding the "ignore" comment, why should I bring up some Port stuff that has nothing to do with the Crows, in a thread titled "ones that got away" on the Adelaide Crows Board

I mentioned the Bode/Burgoyne one because of the Crow connection
