how old is he?

I don't think we can afford to "throw away" decent draft picks this year.

I think we have to think really long and hard about our recruitement and trading this year. Its imperative we make the right decisions.

Refer to Ottens thread just below...

In answer to your question - NO. Like we would give up a priority pick ... thouugh would you take one on notice, given we are likely to lose it before round 22.

Jeez I hope the tigers play that game!
Then we will get him for pick 74 at 5 minutes before the deadline:D :D :D BEEWWWTTTY.
Seriously Burton + a second string player is all your gunna get.

Why would we give up a player(s) when we can take him with our 1st pick in the pre-season draft...:p

that's a lil presumptious isnt it, and now you're saying he's worth a 1st round pick now:rolleyes:

Make up your mind!

Chill, your Tiger mate started all this silliness demanding the Queen's jewels for Ottens. If you want a serious discussion, go & check out the links.

yeah Ive checked em out and posted once or twice.

I think we would probably want too much, and you probably think of offering too little.

Lucky it's not up to us otherwise a deal would never be done.

I believe he is worth a 1st rnd draft pick alone.. But of course, like yourself, Im also biased, unashamedly

Crows are unlikely to want to part with their 1st round pick in a rebuilding year, so either you guys show interest in a player or 2 from us, or a 3rd club becomes involved.

I've always liked Ottens but didn't think he played with much heart on the weekend against us, just looked to be going through the motions and just accumulate stats without having an impact.

He should have annhilated Porter and McKernan and be a focal point around the ground but he and Stafford didn't have any presence.

He has a lot of potential, moreso as a forward but he never gets the delivery when the magnet, Richardson, is in the side.

Sad for the guy.

IMO he needs to change clubs or he will never realize that filthy word - potential!!

You're an outsider to this debate Tas. What do you think is a fair trade from the Crows for Ottens as he is - not what he might be??

If I was Richmond, I wouldn't take that trade.

Do they need a) more inconsistent forwards or b) more outside running players yet to make a mark? I'd have thought they have those markets cornered already.

that's assuming you finish under us you thickhead otherwise we'd simply snaffle him in the draft or hawthorn

Honstly all his potential is as a ruckman as a key forward he will always be avaerage Joe..and under no circumstances would a club invest the AAMI grandstand on his performances in the front half....given the lame brain decisions come from SA in the past refer carey and Burns fiasco then anything might happen...even the crows finishing stone motherless last to get the prized pre season pick according to kane McG or is there some noddy land belief that every other side would simply bow to the crows command

Why would finishing higher than you prevent us from getting him cheaply IN A TRADE

thickhead.
