Can Geelong cause a huge upset and beat the all conquering H/A specialists in the Power. Three years on top but a well documented poor showing in finals footy against a team that hasnt won interstate this year.

Hope the cats can get up but will be a big ask

This is the part where we see if Choco has learnt anything.

Its possible that the passengers we've been carrying will all suddenly turn on the form and Choco's cunning ruse will have worked.

We have a genuine chance of winning if we kick straight, but Port would have to go in as short priced favourite.

Win or lose, the game will give our young squad some invaluable finals experience against a polished and mature side.

Looking forward to the opportunity of testing ourselves against the best team during the season.

The cats have nothing to lose (except a final of course) going into this game. They are a young side, haven't played finals for 4 years, haven't won intersate all year and have had injury problems with their onballers. They will be able to attack the game with a no holds barred approach whereas Port on the other hand will have the expectation of a certain at home final win. We all know the outcome the previous years when they are faced with this 'challange'. The pressure is soley on Port.

Geelong to win. By 6 goals, then we get to play Port down here

Provided St Kilda knock off Brisbane, and Port manages to win week 2.

Geelong have the bye...

I have to think the worst so that I can handle possible disappointed. Hopefully the players aren't as pathetic as I...

I've got a funny feeling Geelong might get up for this one in the tradition of Collingwood 2002 and Sydney 2003 - and one D. Cresswell may just be the reason. The Swans fans on Bigfooty will remember how much the win last year meant to Cressa - he can give the Cats the self-belief they need to pull it off. They really do have nothing to lose and actually have a good record against Port - they pushed them pretty hard this year @ AAMI (IIRC) and even beat them in 2003.

As much as I'd love to see Port choke again, it's probably better for us if they beat the Cats.

Port by 42.

A bit presumptuous isn't it? ;)

Surely Port wouldn't lose to Geelong over there? Or lose a third QF in a row?

****, I can just see it happening now...:(
