Geelong Cats star and seven-time All-Australian Patrick Dangerfield has thrown his support behind lowering the number of on-field players in the AFL to 16.

“If we want to open up the game, it is reducing the number of players on the ground,” Dangerfield told Channel 9’s Footy Classified.

“That purely for me is having seen some of the practice games that we’ve had which the AFL has organised where it has been 16-a-side. The ball really does move quite freely.

Richmond Tigers great Kevin Bartlett bluntly referred to Dangerfield’s comments as “gibberish” on Twitter.

If you don't make a selection it defaults to the first club in the alphabetical listing.

This is probably how they got the 72/28 split in Adelaide's favour.

Anyways, Reilly O'Brien is one of the few Crows who isn't embarrassing himself on a weekly basis (well, not on the field at least), so the Crows would surely have bigger fish to fry than chasing Ladhams.

The problem with this theory is that Billy now has first hand experience of the corporation and their "culture" to share.

Not to mention being dropped for Taylor Walker after being the first Crow to make a marking contest inside 50 in 3 years.

Good to see Nicks has gone the traditional selection route of bringing in some kids for the first few rounds then reverting to old favourites.
