Premiership trophy cabinets

Howdy.

Saw a photo of the Essendon Football Clubs Premiership/Trophy/Award Cabinet.

2 Large glass cylinders with the 16 cups rising upwards.

Beautiful effort by the club to put some thought and pride in showing off these.


Was wondering if anyone has pics of the other clubs Trophy Cabinets.

No picture, however, i believe hawthorn keep the cups in the board room, nothing special

Geelong have all theirs in a glass display in the window of the Premiership stand so you can walk by anytime day or night and see them.

Best picture I can get of ours. At the Eagles admin, Subiaco Oval. Very nice workers there too, last time I was there they got the 06 Cup out and let me hold it and get a few photos.

The "family club" of Hawthorn like to keep their trophies in a cabinet away from the prying eyes of their "family"?

I would have thought they would put at least some of them in the museum they have there at Waverley. That is surprising. poor effort Hawthorn. Carlton's used to be on display for the public...haven't checked for a while but it reminds me the last time we won a premiership was a long, long time ago. 1995. very sad.

They are mostly insignificant VFL trophies that no Interstate sides were a part of so there is hardly anything to brag about when you weren't even competing against half the comp.

Just cause there's lots of interstate franchises in our league now doesn't mean anyone in Vic gives a shit about them either, just a few more games that no one gives a **** about each week.

Just as well they awarded cups retrospectively before 1959, otherwise the cabinets of Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood would look fairly average.

The Brisbane Lions have the cups.

The Fitzroy Reds no longer exist. They were incorporated into THE Fitzroy Football Club (who once competed in the VFL-AFL) in December 2008.
