Quaynor was clearly booed more than others.

The other players that got booed consistently were:

Houston - knocked out Rankine
Frampton - used to play for us
Cox - because he’s the arrogant American and people hate that

Quaynor - ask yourself why?

Seriously if you were one of the people who chose to boo him have a good hard look at yourself.

Because he targeted and antagonized one of our best players the other week?

The thing is, the replay they needed to look at was the first touch. 1 angle on the toe poke looked maybe, the other screamed no. But they never looked at the first. was it below the knee or not? Who knows, they never looked at that.
They did right at the end (and I suspect the actual arc was longer because the decision was on the basis it hit the back of the Collingwood player after ANB 1st kick which was below the knee, then that he didn’t get the 2nd toe poke to connect)

Imho, we were out coached tonight.

We tried to be 1997 Blighty.

1) Max is one of the best medium/small defenders in the AFL so we played him forward, then as a mid and then in defence. Far too cute

2) Bondy tried hard but Elliott is one of the best forwards in the AFL. If only we had a really good medium sized defender.

3) Josh Daicos had arguably his worst game of the year in Round 22, did anyone else notice him running around like an unregistered dog?

4) Collingwood went for a +1 in defence. We haven’t done this all year except for the last Collingwood game. It diminishes our strengths, we should trust our back six and even up the numbers in our forward line.

5) We evened up the clearances and inside 50s but were smashed on the outside. Were our midfielders too defence conscious?

Oh well, at least Izak will be back for the Grand Final.

Send out the search party for Fogarty. Did he even play the second half?
Invisible.
In the third, my mate, his wife and I wondered if he had been subbed off at half-time.
The only positives were Curtin, Pedlar, Worrell, Neal-Bullen and Laird.
Nobody else coped with the pressure. Not one.
Agree, -ish; Tex was ok.

They litetally just said on 5AA bond cost us tonight and wasn't upto it with his man elliot kicking 3 goals on him.
And I say rubbish.

They're entitled to their opinion, he wasnt the only player that spent time on Elliott, Worrell was on him for a chunk of the game as well. Bond only had 70% T.O.G. Worrell 89% T.O.G. Murray and Keane both had 100% T.O.G.

Important not to overreact here.

We all thought lack of finals experience would be an issue and it turned out to be. Their decision making and composure was just so much better than ours. I thought we were in the fight for a lot of it, and the contested possession, inside 50 and clearance numbers showed that, but they just controlled the game so much better when they had the footy. Exhibit A would be Thilthorpe. Overall he had a pretty good game, but completely shit the bed in two really important moments. I think he’ll learn from that though.

Coaching does really worry me though, Fly pulled Nicks’ pants down tonight. The way they were able to dominate uncontested possession and absolutely own us with their spare man was really concerning. That needs to be a huge focus in the off season, whenever that comes.

It doesn’t look like this is our year but this was always a little ahead of our time. We copped a big kick in the guts tonight but this is just the beginning. It’s worth remembering how Brisbane’s 2019-2021 finals series went.

you can still hit the contest and make Collingwood earn it. We just were reactionary all night.

Seriously dude, he’s a great field kick and has set up countless goals with exactly the kick you’re complaining about.
In the forward half, yes. In defence? He turns it over. I honestly can’t think of one time it’s come off this year (although I’m sure he has a couple). I’ve lost count of the times it doesn’t come off.

If only Nicks was at the ground to do literally anything about Darcy Moore. Shame he decided not to show up
Moore cannot take uncontested intercepts
1) if he is not standing alone and
2) if we don't kick to him.
Serious failure by Nicks and several of our blokes to leave Moore unmarked, un-hassled and often with a free run to spoil as well.

Good: Rankine's season is still alive.

Wish Crows players could stop going to ground and then shooting off scrubby backwards handballs that just gives territory to the opposition, that maybe would help not invite so much pressure on themselves.

Also the quality of handballing itself tonight was overall just garbage and didn’t help release the receiver at all, just because you want to be a heavy kicking team doesn’t mean you can let the handballing standard just fall away especially given the amount of handballing forced upon them when under high pressure like tonight and in finals generally.

The long bomb to nowhere is classic Smithers at this point.

Had Cumming available for an easy chip inside 50 but decided to blaze away as if he was still 25.

I can forgive Thilthorpe for his **** up, but when one of the guys who is supposed to provide experience does that then that’s unforgivable.
