This is absolutely absurd to thing that eating rice for a year built a healthy deposit.
Even at $100 a week for two whole years, you'd only have 12K max if you invested as you went, and in that time the property market would have advanced faster.
How about they tell us the whole story. Where did she get her money to start her venture.

property ownership at a young age is easily just make small sacrifices, and then ask mummy and daddy for a $2mill advancement on your inheritance.
