Good point re peatling. He's got a skill set we haven't had for a while. Similar to draper actually. Tough inside mid with good agility and speed.

Yeah, I don't think Laird is a crap player but the D50 role needs good by foot players and Lairdy isn't that, perfect for the sub role player, probably a really damaging sub. If we are going to continue having a sub, we should be super smart on it, a senior player with talent.
We could lead the league for once

We play Collingwood at home this year?
No complaints today, good team effort from coaching to players executing. They are terrible, worst Key position players in the league and no structure ahead of the ball. Their bottom 5 is also as bad as anyone - Adams, Cleary, Bice, Warner jr, Ladhams.
Next 6 weeks will be interesting. Lot of top 8 are currently out of form so need to captalise. When the opp lets us move the ball at will then its easy for us, but when we come up against Chris Scott, etc then there are problems.

How much better did we look with Laird out? I’m totally done with his “kick it straight up on the air’ kicks 20 times a game. We lose possession too easily with his kicks.
Our backline has seriously improved and I’d much prefer Smith in with his kicking instead of Laird.

My favourite part was when Sydney had that brief period of decent footy early in the third, the commentators started trying to pretend there was still a game on, then Sydney proceeded to totally shit their pants.
