Fog didn't help himself looking like he was trying to thump the shit out of the ball to get it over the line.
Yeah I immediately thought this - then I thought the 50 was for backchat but no it was worse

You just knew the club had covered itself in loser stench when they selected Murph.
That "loser stench" comes from our foetid, rotten Coach and his conservative stubbornness.

I'll bet that twerp Nicks is wondering "Gee, how'd we lose that; what went wrong?? We had Murphy back in etc etc".

Yeh his shots for goal, 50m give aways and dumb frees were atrocious.

The players choked and also Nicks did nothing in the second half to set us up to win. His gameplan was comprehensively shut down and Nicks sat in the corner getting... I shouldn't say. Just imagine something. Fill in the blanks

nothing more needs to be said on murphy.

pedlar starting to work into the game and they sub him off. probably was nicks plan going into the game.

close games we rely on individual brilliance rather than system.

100% we have a predetermined sub choice and only deviate if there is a clear injury. The Nicks Special.

ROB and Meek had a pretty good battle

ROB did some good things around the ground and even laid a tackle or two

But can he pleeeeease stay out of the F50? We already have the world's tallest forward line, plus Curtin and Dawson push up there at times.

Then we have a clever crew of smalls who thrive on space.

The last thing we need is slow play entries, giving enough time for the big dinosaur to lumber down there and flap about against our marking targets. There is no player in the league less likely to kick a goal than ROB.

A kick behind play will be fine.

I only got to see the last half of the last quarter. You could just see what was about to happen. They had intensity and some system, as someone else here said we were waiting for some individual brilliance from Dawson Keays or Rankine

It's the extra man that is created when we don't have the ball that is the biggest issue with Tex. Players just run off him. A finals game will be worse.

Tex won't accept playing SANFL lightly and he wants 300 games so Nicks is going to have to be strong enough to make the call.
Correct. It’s a trade-off: does the aerial support for Thilthorpe and Fogarty outweigh the mobility we lose? It’s been a tough call most recent games, but in these conditions the priority should have clearly gone to ground-ball mobility.
