Yes, Murphy was matched up on Impey but disguised it by standing next to Amon for more than 3 quarters.
Show us the FACTS! Watch the replay!
Murphy Derangement Syndrome is strong.

I was told today that Smith is a definite in by someone who is usually reliable.

Round 21, 31 years old, back to back 6 day breaks, coming off a wet weather showdown. Laird being managed is a smart selection decision to me.Heard the same last night , apparently in for Laird who may be rested
He shoots.... and scores!I will give you that he was sometimes next to Amon, but as for playing on him? Nah. He floated around ball watching most of the time. If he was actually tasked with standing Amon he got torched.
As I mentioned I was being facetious suggesting he was on Impey because what Murphy actually does is he runs off his opponent doing nothing, which leaves players free. Could the player he was on or supposed to be on be Impey? Sometimes he's so far away from his man it's hard to tell who he's supposed to be on.
As for who was actually tasked with being near Impey, at least in the first half, it was Ben Keays, not Josh Rachele as you claimed
This is what I mean by Murphy not actually playing a defensive role. All of these are in the first quarter and a bit (highlighted Murphy and Amon). Just lets Amon get away from him (if he's playing on him, which is questionable) time after time. I got bored eventually, it just happened that often

Well, based on what others with supposed inside info have said, Laird will be one.So if Bond, Cumming and Smith are all in, who’s out? Max and who.
True: "Adelaide Crows. 4.25 ; Collingwood. 4.50 ; Geelong Cats. 6.50 ; Brisbane Lions. 7.00 ; GWS GIANTS. 12.00."We are Premiership favourites now.
Bit premature, methinks, even if I like your optimismWin this and next week and we have one hand on the Cup.
I just heard Bickley just saying on SEN he expects Jones to take Max's position.I really like the inclusion of Bond in the side.
I get the feeling we will drop Pedlar as Jones will most likely play a run with role on Day and have Smith as the sub (if Laird is rested). Otherwise Taylor might get pushed back to sub.
"Liked" for introducing me to the word "gank". How could I live so long and teach Yr. 12 English, without knowing that??Unless we manage to gank a Gold Coast and Freo at home scenario before the GF.
Hugh ?I think Bond might struggle tomorrow night given the quality of Hawks but I think he is the right inclusion. Good opportunity to give him some game time.
I made no positive comments about Murphy’s game, I was as frustrated as every other genuine Crows supporter after the Launceston game. I was simply amused that it was “assumed” that it was Murphy’s fault when Impey got off the chain.Murphy was so good in the Hawks game he was demoted to substitute for the next game!
We love his rebound but don't underestimate Max's ability to lock down on a player. I think we need to bring in Bond to play on Watson, and rely on others for rebound.

Nov 8th, 2021 ... ?
Were going to have to ragdoll Geelong, Collingwood and Brisbane at some point.
Impey was BOG last time or thereabouts & despite your protests, Murphy was on him much of the time.
Amon switches between wing & HBF.

I’d swap worrell and Keane i reckonMuzz - Lewis
Keane - Dear
Worrell - Choi if he plays
Hinge - Gunston otherwise Worrell if Choi doesn't play
Not worried if they go tall.
Nash likely to tag Dawson as a midfielder.
I’m not sure I feel like going tall against a side that’s good at intercepts can backfire.Hawks playing 4 talls, reckon it’s to see how it will work for them but to also make our tall defenders accountable so they can’t intercept as much.
Going to an interesting watch.
I haven’t heard that for 25 years"Liked" for introducing me to the word "gank". How could I live so long and teach Yr. 12 English, without knowing that??
I learned something new today (difficult, for such a cranky old dog), cheers.
Bettings gone crazy. Curtin $1.50 for the RS - while a good chance if he continues this form Reid and Ashcroft would have to be still in the raceCrazy given our lack of Final experience.
