Its part of my makeup that I want us to be better

I'm not as hyper critical as some but if I see an issue I will say so.

The game was a good win and I can see the green shoots but I also know Nicks wont be able to help himself and ignore this result and get the band back together

If people cant see the difference between night and day - Crouch in v Crouch out - then they shouldnt be coaching at Ammo level
It’s that you sit there and try and read the game, not just watch it

Watching Nankervis hold the ball, duck, dodge and weave himself into htb-trouble yesterday (as bad as McHenry ever did) was painful.
He's definitely out-of-form.
The Nankervis I recall is the one who was subbed in (against NM? not sure, fair while ago now) and ran with flair, evaded well and did good things with the ball. Yesterday? Terrible :grimacing:.

I don't recall saying Nank >>> Milera.
I was dark with Milera after 4-5 games, because Milera has (or had) elite natural talent of which we got a look yesterday.
I'm glad, even happy. Nicks stuck with him and Milera played really well.
An in-form Milera is a beautiful thing and good for the Crows,
you know,
the team we both want to succeed ..? :thumbsupv1:

yes, yesterday ...

yes, yesterday,
AND
he laid some brutal tackles :D which I cheered here in my Motel Room.
We've seen flashes of his brilliance a few times in the last 2 games and I'll be happy as a pig in doodoo if he sustains his best form.

That'd be me :sneaky: , and I still want Nicks sacked.

One thing about the "pathetically" and "geriatric" (which you'll ignore because you're young and haughty; SO sure you are right).
If you're lucky and avoid all the things that life will throw at you and live to old age like me, please think about how you would like to be treated ...?

The "truth"? :)

I wish you well --- success and happiness --- but very few things I thought were absolutely true 40 years ago are "true' to me now.
You'll see ... :thumbsu: :winkv1:.

Don’t forget you’re conversing with someone who was going to send a share buying system guaranteeing 30% annual returns to the club as a way of retaining players. It’s a bit like Waynus, not quite all there.

I look at a game in a similar vain, it’s not being negative it’s where I think things could be done better

Reality is that there’s a gap between where we are now and being a regular flag contender over a few years. Some posters are interested in discussing what’s required to fill the gap, others are more simple minded.

Some posters are simply tired of a poster becoming combative and turning a reasonable talking point into a multi-page shit fight fiesta

He probably has me on IGNORE :laughv1: , which is fine.
I found it funny that he abused me for being old and an ex-teacher; neither are inherently abuse-able things.

Seriously?
Did he propose keeping a "retainer" for his efforts? ;) :sneaky:

How do you retain all this info on other posters?
It’s a bit like Waynus, not quite all there.
More angry and disrespectful than WW, I'd say.
Meh <<shrug>>
Some posters forget that footy is a game and this Forum is designed to present opinions about the Club we all support. From the weirdest to the best of us, we are all Crows supporters.
Comrades, of sorts.
There are pro-and-anti-Nicks groups but it doesn't matter.
When I go to the footy, I never think about what the Crows fans around me think of Nankervis, or Milera or ROB or Nicks etc. I feel like I am among my own kind, in a way, and love seeing how others celebrate the tri-colours.

It's not Life or Death. It's not "important" --- well, winning a Flag is important, :laughv1:, but you know what I mean :D.
It's all meant to be an interesting distraction. Fun.

Zero coincidence that Peatling's two best games have been without Crouch.

Our midfield rotation is dynamic, has a great mix of players with different strengths that we can rotate out into other parts of the ground and bring in another. Dawson, Rash, Rankine, Soligo, Cumming, Peatling. It's a strong mix.

When we have Crouch in the side, that's it, he's there on the inside, that's his only position. He literally cannot play anywhere else. It's undeniable hip or no hip injury, our midfield is far more dangerous without him. It's time to move on from Crouch.

Loved Dawson the forward, he's one of the best overhead marks in the league. Curtin is building into something very formidable. Felt that was his best game for the club.

Rubbish. When he came back after the long layoff he was far better than any of us thought he'd be and deserved to maintain his spot. He’s been struggling with this hip since the pre-season. They should have tried to get it right.
I think we do need to seriously ask the question next time Crouch is fit whether we are better off replacing his spot full time with Peatling.

Absolutely no question. It took them a long time to trust him again before they selected him, and not one of us agreed with that selection I’m pretty sure and then after consecutive good games he earned his spot back. But, and this is a big but, his hip has been troubling him since before the season started. I’m not sure if this is a case of Burgo saying “suck it up and play with a niggle” or not, but it’s been pretty clear to everyone that he isn’t physically right. That midfield looked SO much better without him.

From what I saw, George created a fair talking point, ie Rachele's CBA clearance rate and lack of attendances and all that happened from there was he was shouted down by the sunshine and rainbows crew as complaining. It wasn't George that was combative, it was the responders to his talking point.

In terms of that talking point, I'm hopeful that it's just the beginning and we see Rach in there at least that much in future games and he becomes a permanent part of that rotation. Hopefully what we saw (although I didn't) on the weekend was the minimum CBA's for Rachele. He always looked like he'd be a useful player to have a run through there, but for some reason we shelved it. Looks like we've unshelved it, hopefully it continues. .

In the end of the day, that is up to Peatling to force the issue. He puts in big performance, after big performance, he'll win that spot from Crouch. Doesn't, and Crouch comes back.

He's ticked the first box.

I genuinely don't understand this fascination with crowd numbers. Why is it announced? Why are people applauding it?
Who gives a sh!t, other than the Vic flogs who use it to go on and on about how Victoria is the centre of the universe.

Haha
Yeah I don’t get the raptures from the crowd when they show it at the ground.
Woooooooo, there’s 45k and I’m one of them yeeeeeeeeeeeeew!

Rachelle 2 Centre clearances from 5 CBA, Berry 3 from 9.

Why wouldn’t we have given Rach more given his good work in there?

Soligo only attended 11 for the game.
Well, he was kicking goals and had 8 other score involvements. So... that's pretty valuable.
