Here are all the parts worth reading for those short on time:

...prodigiously talented footballer Luke.
Several clubs - notably Gold Coast and Collingwood - spoke to Connors and urged GWS to take McDonald as one of their 17-year-olds but Connors made it clear to several recruiters, including Gold Coast's Scott Clayton, that McDonald, potentially a top-three draft choice without the father-son connection, would be heading to Arden Street. The outgoing former Trinity Grammar student boasts pace, strength and skill - and the personality, according to those around the club, to cope with any allegations regarding his role in any alleged game of political football.
"I was dragged into it and Luke was dragged into it. But Luke is his own bloke and he was always going to come to North.''
- He's a gun.
- Further confirmation that he would have gone in the mini-draft.
As the year unfolds watch all the jealous experts over on the drafts board try to play him down as a pick 5-10 regardless of how well he does in the VFL.

Why would anyone do that unless they intended to ambush people, and if it is true, how would Caroline Wilson know of the alleged existence of such a thing?

Has our former CEO been engaging in personal politics with the gutter press?
Don't forget he is a solicitor - would have notes of every discussion he has held since graduating. The leak to Caro is interesting as he hates her as much as we do. Will be interesting to see if this article goes any further.

He might dislike her, but he wants to get something off his chest.
There's absolutely no doubt where the info came from - the man himself.

Which is a real pity, because regardless if the bad blood that developed and now lingers between Euge and the other parties still at NM, Euge was great with the fans during his tenure and developed a real rapport with us. Casting aspersions on the existing staff after he has left may cause doubts in the minds of some supporters towards JB and Burger, which is shit, but others will now just think less of the man for being petulant enough to start throwing stones when on the outside.

Really...?

It is understood that former club chief executive Eugene Arocca reported concerns of a conflict to North chairman James Brayshaw...
The football chief has denied he backed up any suggestion of a link between his own tenure and that of his son, but Arocca is understood to have voiced such concerns to the board. [Classic Caro, ain't it?]
Dilena said he would not comment on confidential board discussions. [...not Carl then.]
Arocca refused to comment this week [on the record, that is], but his associates have confirmed that the CEO, who departed the club in June last year, sought external legal advice. Arocca kept written documentation of conversations at the time. [which we know because?!]
Arocca, whose relationship with chairman Brayshaw had already soured at the start of last season, was reportedly [by...?] further disenchanted at the prospect of McDonald moving into a commercial role.
...the North Melbourne chairman who, like McDonald, holidays at Port Fairy [shocking revelation!]
The conversation between Terri McDonald and Lewis was reported back to Arocca who, a few days later, addressed the issue with McDonald. [Okay, now I'm convinced she has the place bugged, unless, of course...]
The Arocca version [...hang on, Arocca refused to comment this week?!] is that McDonald did not back away from his wife's comments, reportedly saying that it was important for both father and son to be comfortable with the situation at the Kangaroos. [Fancy Donald wanting the situation to be comfortable for both... horrendous stuff].
The chief executive reported his concerns to the Brayshaw brothers [Very disappointed the Brayshaws leaked this] and was immediately removed from the contractual talks with McDonald, who later received a contract extension until the end of 2013 on an annual salary of about $275,000. [I'm telling you, the place must be bugged, computers hacked or CCT footage... or something]
The once-close relationship between Arocca and James Brayshaw had already eroded the previous November when the chief executive confronted his chairman over a financial dispute with the AFL over North's finances. [JB, shame on you for disclosing this to Caro, your sworn enemy]

And the best one of all...
Arocca refused to comment this week on the saga, [okay...] but it is believed he has kept written records of his conversations involving the McDonald scenario. [which I know because Euge told me, last week, not "this week"]

6. BJ QUIET BUT DEADLY
BRENDON Goddard might have had just 14 disposals in a quiet debut, but he showed just how devastating he could be for the Bombers. The marquee recruit only needs a handful of kicks to damage the opposition, as he showed with his magnificent booming set-shot goal in the second term. When this bloke racks up 25-touches plus, the Bombers are going to be hard to beat.

Is there a thread with photos taken from the crowd anywhere? Trying to put together a piece for the man cave, and some on here have posted great photos before!

Sorry to intrude, but I came across this awesome video tonight and thought this video might interest you lads.

Had never seen this before, but you guys might have. I sometimes forget (I'm sure you guys don't) how much of a 'king' he was. A champion.

How come on the fridge magnet draw (which I preferred when it was entirely magnetic, rather than cardboard attached to a magnet like some real estate agent's calendar), only teams outside Melbourne get their nickname mentioned - eg Adelaide Crows, Geelong Cats but just Melbourne, Collingwood? (Port Adelaide are the exception. Is this because of "Power" isn't a tangible thing, or just due to space?)

Even more puzzling, why do the latest teams get their nickanme in CAPS, ie we play Gold Coast SUNS and GWS GIANTS?

Does my head in every time I look at it.

Can someone tell me the player who Petrie went off at during the game today? Torched him on the lead.
Yeh it ended up being a long kick to Taylor when Dish had 15 metres on him. I may know who it is but dont want to say it
