I would just like to say that those freo gooses who derail every thread on the main board are not worthy of their own thread.

But by god I want to see us beat the living shit out of them next year.

Bunch of smack talking, blowjob giving, purse carrying nancy boys.

It's almost as if they have won someth.......

The lawyer for Bauer publishing group (who publishes Life & Style and In Touch) questioned Cruise about the actor flying to a Scientology event while he was shooting a movie. Cruise testified at the time he was shooting a flick called One Shot in Pittsburgh.
The lawyer (obviously not a movie fan) admitted confusion, saying he had never heard of the film and was surprised the studio would "throw away one of your films".
Replied Cruise: "They should. They should throw away a few of them."
(By the way, One Shot was retitled Jack Reacher which grossed close to $220 million globally, but still one of the lowest grossing Cruise films of the past decade.)

Thought it was interesting.

Saw in the NMFC gym the top 10 max bench press lifts ranked for players for 2013. Majak was number 1 with 150kgs. Was amazed to see Boomer at number 5 with max of 140kgs! surely they are taking the piss?

Boomer is a little nugget. Got the others, mate?

This goes for just about everyone that posts on BF. You mean uninterested not disinterested. Disinterested means without bias; uninterested means to lack interest.

As a fellow 'Grammar Nazi', I am not the least bit uninterested in your comment.

And while we're at it, people, 'they're', 'their' and 'there' have three distinct meanings.

Haha, I'm not a fan of that term (I usually reserve the word Nazi to talk about the Nazis) and usually don't tell people how to write online, but for some reason disinterested has really gotten to me and I've decided to put a stop to it.

Well actually, neither am I, normally, but I figure if it's good enough for 'Seinfeld', it's good enough for me.

I admire and applaud your gusto. :thumbsu:

Yeah, I realised that when I looked it up and saw the definition of disinterested was being altered due the level of misuse. I'm conflicted because my belief is English should be both accessible and precise.
I'm on a one-woman crusade to Save The English Language, starting with texting. Well, if I was really serious about it, I guess all of my correspondence would be in Olde English-style, using a quill on parchment paper. But my texts are always punctuated, spelt correctly, and never, ever abbreviated. Even if it means I have to send two texts, and annoy the crap out of the respondent. :thumbsu:

Horace and I have been on a (losing) crusade to save the English language on here for many years. Favourite words besides their/they're/there include I/me/myself, its/it's and his/he's.

There's a thread on the subject about every second or third year.

Ah, a fellow crusader! Actually, that reminds me of a song/album:
