Not the worst idea. He’s not going to get much time in the midfield & he’s not that great as a forward. Just doesn’t get it enough.
yep, and with Young and Chapman being moved out, he's a step up from Worner/Wagner, and frees up his possie at HF to Coops. Seems like it's worth trying. He is our fastest, has a high footy IQ, is experienced, a good kick, and tackles well. Not sure me have much to lose in the forward line from him being trialled there.

Looks like Tabs or Reidy if the West have any info.

Jeremy Sharp will get one last shot to lock in a spot on a wing for Fremantle’s round one clash against Brisbane when he suits up for Peel Thunder in their pre-season clash on Saturday.
It comes as the Dockers appear to be weighing up whether to play forward Matt Taberner or a second recognised ruckman in Liam Reidy to replace injured star Sean Darcy.
If Tabs plays we have learnt nothing over ther past few yrs,got pansed last week and dont think he got more than a handfull of possesions if that

All he will do at Optus is lead into the left forward pocket (casino end looking down the ground from train station end) and take a check side kick at goal if he gets a chest mark

Jlo might as well resort to his other favourite brillant positional move from 2023 and put Hughes back to the wing

Don’t have a choice.
Cannot, I mean cannot, have Jackson as sole ruck with Treacy second leaving Amiss by himself. Tabs and Amiss has to play if Treacy is back up.
Just don’t understand how The club has Knobel and Reidy on the list still and don’t use them. Stop being pragmatic, boring and take a chance.

Western Bulldogs have Caleb Daniel..
Not the worst idea in the world.
Isn’t a goal kicker.

Good ball user but I’d prefer someone who kicks it a bit further tbh.

He’s not the worst HFF and part time mid. Not sure that role is overly good for scoring a high amount of goals. No team has seven forwards kicking 30+ so I’m fine with one or two averaging just under a goal a game tbh.

Frederick generally plays the other flank but IMO his extra goals are more to do with the fact he can launch them from the edge of 50 than being a superior footballer.

Any chance we could introduce Simpson across HB (as an alternate hypothetical to Switta)?

Going early on Wagner, but if he's out for an extended period we're getting pretty skinny for runners off HB.

Geez I hope not. You don't finally draft a fast mid/forward with goal sense and a long leg and play him off half back.

Why? Plenty of younger players get introduced off HB, particularly those with speed and long legs? Doesn't have to be permanent.

I don’t know, if the difference is between playing mid/fwd at peel or running distributor sheezle role at AFL, I think having him rack uncontested possessions off the back half is not bad.

Also do you really want to watch Worner run off half back?

Is Brizzy losing a good or bad thing for next week?. On one hand they might be mad focused...on the other if we can weather an early storm they are showing signs of a team that can lose the close ones when put under pressure.

The answer is obvious, we don't have enough blokes who can kick goals!

Developmentally I am sure it is fine for him, but if he's playing, keep him near out sticks.

And no to Worner, I want Draper, he looked mint (against witches hats).

I know it was floated in a codesports article already, but with Wagner out now Swit probably should be given that rebounding distributor role that everyone is seeking this year, like Nic Martin, Karl Amon etc

Sure it would be nice for him to play afl and kick goals, but it’s hard to kick AFL goals in the WAFL.

Don’t think Draper is debuting in the first half of the year unless something goes wrong

Was really looking forward to this match but Darcy out is a big blow.

Not being a long kicker actually benefits the team. Lower the eyes.
Ryan is a long kicker, and it’s not fun.
