Nah Ralphy is horrible. He's starting to think he's a football analyst, rather than just a hot air specialist

His defence of his "Mayes is gone" article was hilarious after Mayes re-signed. Basically said it was true at the time he wrote the article. LMAO.

A few hundred years ago, experts maintained the earth was flat.

It was "true" for them at the time.
It's true for some people now too. A hobby of mine is following flat earth instagram accounts. They are 100% serious and I love it and I can't stop reading them.

What is some of their 'evidence' ? I wonder how they explain the view of Earth from space.
Doctored images and lies, mostly.

They rely on a lot of spurious 'geometry' as evidence and the fact that we 'knew' it was flat and we were the centre of the universe for thousands of years before we were lied to by corrupt word leaders.

I'm actually convinced that the majority of flat earthers may suffer from some form of mental illness, which takes the hilarious sheen off of things a little.

Thought as much

I'm guessing they don't play well with 'hollow Earthers'

Actually the idea that people thought the Earth was flat hundreds of years ago was itself a myth. The round Earth was pretty solidly established by ancient Greeks and not forgotten. Due to a somewhat odd mathematical error most people thought that the Earth was rather smaller than it actually is, to the extent that Columbus found the "West Indies" right about where he'd been expecting the East Indies to be.

And yes, that does mean that modern flat-earthers are more ignorant of cosmology than a typical 15th century peasant.

Yeah this 100%. Read a good article on it a little while ago, can't seem to find it now... #conspiracy.
