Contiki tour August 2003, round the corner from the pantheon in Rome. Had a local Adelaide Italian on tour with us so he ordered and we got local not tourist prices. Thin crust four slices of really large salami, sauce and a little cheese. With beer, seven euros and the best damn eye candy I've ever seen walking by in the evening sunset - the ambience and visuals probably made the memory more favourable in hindsight but still good nonetheless!!

I used to love pizzas with tons of topping, but after going to Italy and France, I much prefer the Italian style; fewer ingredients, not overloaded with cheese - much nicer.

You would like vacanza pizza surry hills sydney - Naples style , 5 min walk from scg if you're coming to the sydney game....and owned and operated by a crows supporter

Have you tried 360 on magil road. Only had it once but it was really nice

This thread still off topic I see....just for the record the Thai Green Chicken Curry at Cafe Michael 2 in Rundle Street is the best I've ever had and that includes Thailand...amazing stuff. Lunch time special with a Singha beer for 22 bucks....you'll find me there once a week...

Oh dear no its not. I have had it and it is right up there though. Star of Siam and Nu Thai. Easily Adelaide's best Thai places.

There is a similar one in Woolhara (or whatever it is) - all staff were Italian (the polish girl speaks Italian and was talking it to them), super authentic and delicious.

Wild Orchid down Henley beach square is another fab place for Thai. Probably the closest to genuine Thai food. Real Thai would involve so many chillies Id have to go to the hospital so I'm happy to eat close to the real stuff but not the same as a Thai would have it. I haven't tried those places you mentioned but will have to now.

Kane Cornes, talking on radio this morning, unintentionally gave a disturbing insight into the former runnings of our club.

He said Phil Harper and Brenton Sanderson were at his house at the end of 2011, trying to lure him across to Adelaide. He said he was basically ready to switch clubs, and that Sando wanted him, but when they took it to the list manager (David Noble) he overruled Sanderson.

Whether you think Cornes would have been a good acquisition for us is beside the point - this story uncovers more hidden little gems of the former AFC administration's phaggotry and ineptitude.

The disturbing points:

1. A list manager or someone in football operations overruling a head coach on tactical requirements.

2. Phil Harper in charge of ANYTHING remotely resembling on-field strategy and success.

Could anybody imagine Phil Walsh saying "I want player X" and then the footy operations department saying "nah, sorry Walshy, we don't think we need him..."

The more that is revealed about how our club ran under Trigg, the sicker every Adelaide member feels.

Would have been a bad call to get him so perhaps not this instance

So why did we hire John Reid son as a list manager?

Given we were pretty active during the trade period that year I wonder if Nobel said no due an inability to get the deal done after factoring in other trades, or if he didn't think he'd add to our list.

Actually I think it's disturbing for other reasons, the coach shouldn't be targeting players without involving list managers. Coaches are temporary as we have found out, their opinions shouldn't be used for recruitment especially when it was to recruit an ageing tagger

The sins of our past is that we should have ensured that Graham Cornes kids were selected via father/son. My understanding at the time is that all it would take is for Graham to have been a board member for a year or so coupled with his coaching us.

Chad Cornes in our forward line back in the mid 00s would have been the difference in winning the flag imo.
