Don't know if you're just joking about the prelim but you drew 38K v them at the G in 2019.Don’t we usually get 90000 plus along to the Giants game? What’s the AFL playing at .
What the feck is the country game? And what barrier is it breaking? No reason it can't be a Hawthorn home game each year, or one year MCG, one year GMHBA. The country game is breaking new barriers this year, no reason easter monday couldn't either.
Just coz the Melbourne teams forfeited their home grounds (Richmond take the cake here, doing so in the 60s lol), doesn't mean we should too. Looking forward to stage 5, then the away fans will see what the home members have been enjoying for the past 20 years.

God, I hate Geelong supporters.
We will just walk away with our cups between our legs
Collingwood are contractually bound to play two "home" games at Marvel each year.
Do Richmond supporters know if they're subject to a similar arrangement?
And Carlton ‘host’ Collingwood at the MCG as well.Is some of this offset by having Essendon ‘host’ Collingwood at the MCG?
Essendon are contracted for 4 home games each year at the MCG. Usually the larger drawing clubs. Is some of this offset by having Essendon ‘host’ Collingwood at the MCG?
Almost as if you are discovering the huge leg up the non-Melbourne teams get by actually retaining home grounds. And Essendon and Geelong ‘host’ Richmond at the MCG as well.
What is going on here?!?!?
Almost as if you are discovering the huge leg up the non-Melbourne teams get by actually retaining home grounds.
Melbourne teams are just split around to ensure games are played at respective venues, and have lost any advantage they previously enjoyed.

When the VFL introduced Waverley Park back in the 70s and extended the season to 22 rounds, teams have been playing 'home' games at neutral venues.
Ditto about playing at Marvel no?You would think after winning 3 flags you blokes would be a bit more relaxed
How many west of Melbourne miss out? They're our home base first and foremost. As I said regardless of whether or not you think it is fair, more people from more of the city can go. Geelong are not even minority club in the east.
Country game, Essendon v Geelong has been stuck at the MCG for the past 5 years, this year it's in the country (Geelong)What the feck is the country game? And what barrier is it breaking?

Adelaide and Geelong only finished above a far superior Richmond side due to not playing them away that yearHmmmm 2 points behind cats and crows yet only played each of them once during the season at their home grounds. Asterisk? I think not.
Geelong's home ground is much more of an advantage because no one is familiar with it and it has a strange shape.
What an injustice, hopefully Gil is listening and fixes this mess up ASAP.
Geelong will be a Docklands tenant by 2030Geelong's home ground is much more of an advantage because no one is familiar with it and it has a strange shape.
Some players at Geelong have played over 100 games on the MCG.
Inevitable, it's becoming a big club and will need to come out from under the doona eventually. They will always retain a game a year at KP though.Geelong will be a Docklands tenant by 2030
