I can understand with Prestia body failing him that we ask the question with him but you don’t treat K Mac like that.

Lalor - unbloodybelievable today. He’s living up to P1 hype. Loved a couple of his crushing tackles, to go with his attack on the ball
Trainor, was fantastic, a couple of errors by foot, but his 3rd man up spoiling was a highlight for me.
Armstrong just keeps presenting, perfect 3rd tall fwd going forward.

Faull is growing in confidence, another step forward today in the 2s, he’s building towards a debut. Sims was also very impressive. Gray is ready to go when the opportunity presents itself.

Everyone was pulling themselves over Harlry having 18 & 1 (2 goal assists and 6 involvements) in his 4th game.

Sam just had 24 & 2 (4 & 10) against the reigning premier in his 4th game lol

What a great day to be alive.
Other than rolling the lions in the ones yesterday things could not have gone better.
When our ressies are flying it is generally a sign that things are on the up. See 2017.
All we asked for yesterday was for the seniors to have a dip and that’s what we got. I am happy with an honourable loss where all our kids show something.
Exciting times ahead.
Just to top it off…swans roll the kangas to ensure both our draft picks remain in the top 7.
If only we could do something about the basket cases that are the demons, blues & eagles !!!

With the VFL playing some great footy and the AFL side putting in a much improved performance yesterday it is going to make selection a lot more difficult over the next few weeks as we start to get players back from injury/suspension. The league wide bye next week for the VFL will certainly be interesting because there are some players in the VFL that have put their hands up for senior selection.

I've been calling for Ryan to get a shot for a few weeks now and yesterdays game was another good overall game where he did well in the ruck and impacted up forward. So could we opt to bring him in to play as the 2nd ruck/KPF role that we're playing Blight in and send Blight back into D50. It would seem unlikely that will happen, but it's certainly a good headache to have.

The other addition to that is the return of Balta. On talent he is a walk up best 23 inclusion, but there is the question of what sort of message does it send to bring him straight back in. Well the answer to that is simple in my book. He screwed up, he was punished with a 6 week club imposed suspension and has no doubt taken responsibility for what he did so I'd be picking him for the game against Fremantle, strengthening our back half.

Smillie is another interesting one, played just over a half of game time and looked ok without standing out. As much as it would be great to bring him in I'd be holding fire until the game against the Eagles in round 9 (out next home game at the G) which would mean he'd have had a good 4 games of footy under his belt where he builds up match fitness and finds touch because we're clearly looking at throwing him into the midfield from the get go once he plays at senior level and it's a big step from VFL to AFL.

So heading into next week I'd be making the one change with Balta to come in for Bauer and move McIntosh to the sub role so we line up like this:
