Banks got 14 disposals & 2 goals
Ross got 17 possessions 1 clearances
Sonsie had 12 disposals & 2 shots at goal
KMac started in the centre and got only 8 disposals and half this board want to keep him and he definitely has no future
Good stats, but perhaps if sny of them had played in the centre they would have the same or worse than Macca? Tough gig in there yesterday. Macca also didn't play .ost of the last quarter which may have reduced is numbers.
I certainly would have liked to see a few different rotations through the midfield though.

Remember when our twin towers were ottens and richo?
I went to round 1 2002. It ended up a shootout against the Pies. Think Richo and Otto kicked 8 or so between them and we got up. Season went downhill quickly from there, and we never recovered under Frawley. Gave him plenty of time to turn it around, but he eventually gave way to give Wallace a crack. They were some rough years. Feels like that's where the Blues are now.

when a club burns through coaches like the blues do im inclined to believe it's more a senior player problem than a coaching one. if the leaders of the club dont buy in its impossible for the coaches to get any cut through with the rest of the team. then the rot sets in and its over to the next coach. blues need to do a clean out and start the process again like we have. keep the leaders who have the best interests of the club at heart and jettison the rest for picks.

even his biggest critic would have to admit he took a massive step forward last year. never lost a contest on the wing and gave us plenty of dash. was even hitting targets which i wasnt sure he was capable of previously.
One of our only consistent two way runners last year

Something we are lacking this year

They look arrogant but have much to be humble about.

Voss has the ingredients to do a gameplan like our with his players but doesnt have the young small forwards buy in.

I also think that you need to moderate the players you bring in via trade or free agency. I think that if you pay a lot for a heap of players brought in, there is a fabric that breaks.

That said though, the powerbrokers at Carlton probably don't help. Very, very delusional bunch that looks at one good passage of play from some 80 gamer spud and then rush to put brownlow bets on.

I'm watching the replay. I feel that Taranto cops too much flak on this site. Bloke has got the raw end of the deal. Came to the Tigs on a hope we would compete, then have his coach leave midseason in his first year here. He won the BnF. At the same time it was becoming apparent the team was cooked. It needed to be rebuilt.

Unfortunately for Taranto he has not been able to replicate his BnF winning form. To this point that is probably due to the following reasons; the team is rebuilding and playing many young guys. And he hasn't been able to get his body right and play a good stretch of matches for awhile. He lacks rhythm.

He has his limitations for sure, as many players will have. He also has his strengths which could prove useful in a more successful environment/team.

definitely a tightrope to walk when bringing in big money players, really need everyone onboard or it creates rifts in the group.

Players like Ross and Dow just aren’t good enough. Both playing for their careers now. They don’t get into any top 8 sides midfields
I really thought they turned the corner in Round 1 against Carlton.

Then they showed up like this the last three weeks. They’ve had their decent moments, but they’re just not consistent enough. Good enough to be fringe players, but not good enough to take charge of our midfield

Just to top it off…swans roll the kangas to ensure both our draft picks remain in the top 7.
If only we could do something about the basket cases that are the demons, blues & eagles !!! 🤪🤪🤪
We could give them Sampson/ Kozi/Dow & Sonsie in the MSD.

Team in rebuild
So you expect to have 22 A graders out there?

We would never lose a game if you were our list manager and coach

Cmon wings, say something positive
We'd have 42 A graders with his eye for talent.

Was at the game yesterday. I can't recall ever feeling so upbeat about a loss. Although the Richmond fan a couple of rows ahead of us (Punt Rd end, Northern stand ground level forward pocket) kept everybody's spirits up by his personal mission to verbally abuse Eric Hipwood whenever the ball was within 20 metres of him.

Could not be more impressed by Lalor, Armstrong and Trainor, although the latter's choice of options let him down but that will improve. Campbell, Green, Brown, Miller all good with Blight, Banks and Smith all showing good signs too.

The main negatives were, as ever, McIntosh and Short. KMac's worst game for the year easily and Short back to his panic kicks to no-one and losing his feet whenever a contest looms.

The beers at the Cricketers Arms before and after the game were the perfect beginning and end to the day.

The only I would like to see come in is Faull. He looks like a ripper, probably for Bauer or if Armstrong needs a rest.

Sonsie was invisible early on and Banks not much better. After half time worked their way into the game. Hugo did likewise in the VFL so I am not sure he is ready.

Gray was great but not sure where to put him. Alger is going to be a player as well, he could easily come in for Sonsie on the half forward line.

A few dropping Smith but I thought he did a good job. Stood Cameron for most of the game and did a good job. 2 of Cameron's goal were when Broad was on him. We don't really have that lockdown defender, which he could become. His kicking was iffy, but it is his first real game of the year, so that should improve. Wouldn't be dropping until a replacement comes on.

Just want to see less of Macca in the middle. More of Lalor, Sonsie, McAuliffe, Ross, and Rioli if he ever earns his way back at various stages. A little more of Taranto forward. Goy/tta see what guys are made of before making career ending calls. Macca gives his all, Won't question that. But there's little need for him in the guts.

Also. We've got a Geelong style backline building. TALL TALL TALL. Need to find one running back though in the Dan Rioli mould.

What is it with Sonsie hate he’s a young kid who hasn’t been played in his preferred position very often the middle
Hate the way some just people bag the youngsters it takes time

Agree 100%, actually thought both Sonsie and Banks grew as the game went on, one of their better games in a while. People have them down as whipping boys so if they don't start on fire automatically they are put in the shit game category.

Banks had 5 score involvments & 11 pressure acts, Sonsie 4 score involvments.

Bauer & Smith are the same, people keen to put them in the no good basket early in their careers, it's quite boring really. Admittedly Smith did have a poor game yesterday but he was on bloody Charlie Cameron & that's going to happen with guys who have only played a handful of games.

No one turned up ..they all got turned away apparently lalor and Smillie walked past where everyone was queuing up to get in the game. 35,000 instant bulges in pockets. Security thought everyone was packing 🙄 including the 🚺 ladies so they all got turned back. Hence no crowd in attendance

Kamdyn McIntosh has played 194 games
Needs 6 to make 200. After round 11 we have the mid season draft nurse him to 200 then send him off after round 10.his 200th game against roos at the mcg
He then retire ala Shaun grigg
Love Kamdyn in a funny way. He obviously ain't the most gifted player. Still a 2-time Premiership player, and he is a goer. He is almost a better clubmen than player, and he has a crack. He will be done soon, but he should be appreciated for the effort and work he has put into the Tigers.

Every club needs people like this.
