One genuine highlight a few mins into the first quarter, the rest was a substandard affair. Substandard coaching, umpiring and lack of intent from a number of players. We have the worst kicking midfield in the competition who have to rely on handball and when forced to kick, turn it straight over to the opposition. The kick down the line defies credibility and opposition teams rack up intercept marks every week. You can't trade all the poor performers in one year but that's how I feel when a team doesn't turn up in an important milestone game for a player who has delivered so much. Taranto, Rioli, Balta at times were good. Not too many others can hold their head up high. You can never doubt an AFL player's dedication and intent and I do think players try, the root cause might sadly be, it's a terrible list.

With finals gone long ago, that was effectively our grand final and they dished that up.

We weren't anywhere near it, made the wrong decision all the time, Hawks were far slicker, our pressure wasn't even good and our forward line had zero structure.

Very surprised even if we lost that we weren't "up" for that game. That was massively disappointing.

Game review on.....it was pretty bad. This is exactly where we are at the moment with a few shows of good footy.

Midfield too slow, inc TT.
Graham, well past it or is playing injured.
Prestia is cooked and should retire. - i know he didnt play.
TT had a good game, but even at his best he doesnt help win games, he gets in at the packs and gives and not much else - better off trading him TBF, he would suit playing in a better team with other star players around him.
The kids showed some good signs but not enough, we are 3 + years away from maturity. Hawks already there.
its pretty much as simple as that.

Pick 1 is very much on. We aint winning in our next 5, all against teams chasing top 4. We then play North, they could easily be in better form than us by then. North still host the eagles as well. We only have 3 winnable games left. Saints should beat us at Marvel in one of those.

That was really sh!thouse, but don’t want to throw the toys out of the cot yet. The kids all had moments but just not enough. Hawks were red hot with ball in hand and structure but they’re a few years ahead of us. Great to get games into them and a solid preseason with some high draft picks is the silver lining. As mentioned I’d trade a few senior players to get Reid back to Vic, whatever it takes. Salute Dusty,

you're very short sighted mate. we were smashed at centre half forward, which BTW ive been calling out for weeks now and we cant do a thing about it. dont blame cumbo, coaching staff cant find a functioning set up forwards of the centre, what did Shai bolton do and everyone else?

Cumberland was awful early in the game when we were ok. Like Essendon with Ridley, every team will now play an intercept marker on him. They read the play too quickly for him, so he is always chasing and out of position. He is going to have to deal with that every week he plays now.

Lol absolute dribble. He had twice as many clearances as any other player on the ground and more contested possessions than any other player too. I'm not sure how you can say he gives not much else when he also had 2 marks inside 50, 5 rebound 50s and a goal. Plus that run down tackle to prevent a score.

He literally did everything today. The problem was he was the only one.

They guy is on 850k a year and plays 4 good games a year. He fumbles picking the ball off the deck and he butchers the finish.

All he is seemingly interested in is his highlight reel.
