I'd like to think this was the game the penny dropped for Sonz. There was a contest he went at 100%, didn't back down and ran straight through the ball into an eagles player. Complete opposite to a couple of contests last week.

Oh Faull, I called in the preview thread this would be his breakout game, 3 goals and a rising star nod. If only he was a little cleaner and less unselfish and he'd have got the 3rd

This young bloke has had something like 25 scoring shots so far. That's massive. If he was more accurate he'd be raved about everywhere. But he is creating lots of chances. Once he settles and starts consistently bagging his shots he'll be away. He's already got the contested game.

What did they juice up Tyler Young on during rehab. He's come back a different athlete. I'm convinced that's not him.

If Balta comes in, it can't possibly be in defence. Young has been great since coming back.

I think Balta comes in for Kosi and plays forward/rotating ruck, and Green or Alger for Campbell (concussion)
Sims was too easily outmaneuvered in the ruck, and that is understandable. Balta will give us more around the ground when he rucks

Im with you there. I remember young before his ACL, he wasn't that quick, well not saying he is super fast but he must've worked hard on his running ability and he looks leaner which has helped. Also his ball to foot not as slow as before his ACL. Full credit to Young has worked hard on his defencencies.

He has added another dimension to his game, and that's his offensive running, marking and spoiling he has had.

It might be in out interests to rest some players against St.Kilda in 3 weeks re draft.
There's a lot of fringe players we need to have a look at anyway.

Faull needs to be managed imo. He's played the last 14 games which is unheard of for a 1st year tall.
He's only 19 and he crashes packs.
He needs a week off at least imo.

He may, it's definitely Kosi or Sims. I think Sims aerially will give him the edge over Kosi. Kosi does hit the packs hard and is more of a leading forward, so that could swing it his way. Whatever the MC decides, all good.

We'll win 1 more for the season and still be fine re: draft picks. 6 wins is 3 more than I was expecting to start the season.

All the MRJ knockers out there just stop it. Maybe he doesn't quite get it enough but the things he does is truly amazing and if nurtured properly will amount to a more than valuable contribution of many wins. Get him around the ball more and we'll see more of this.

sounds very similar to Cyril, didn't get much of the pill but when he did great things happened - hope he turns out the same
