It was the best game of his career. It’s not a good sign.
ill give the replay a watch, missed the game yday but i do watch Darcy a bit as he's been a keeper league investment :)

Let's be honest, our main rucks are out of the side at the moment. So while not ideal, certainly not end of the world.
When Draper is fit & Bryan is ready we'll be in a better spot.

Give Perkins another week against the 18th team, maybe even play him off half back or more time in the guts, and then use him as the sub against the Weagles.

Yeh not a bad idea

I was just trying to get a bigger gap in between now and the bye

I wouldnt even put him on the plane for west coast if he plays this week

Don't get why so many want Hooker rested.

Too structurally and intangibly important. If he's carrying something then sure, otherwise let the man ruffle some North heads.
Well he's no longer in the top 5 in the Coleman, and if a forwards not in the top 5 they obviously need resting :p

i like that.

If we win, it'll be a grinding, ugly win (similar to the Freo game). Norf have been building nicely over the past few weeks, and will be taking in a lot of confidence after finally winning a game. The scoreboard from their game doesn't accurately reflect the dominance they had over Hawthorne (North should have smashed them).

I hope we play tight on their midfielders from the start (in contrast to the first three quarters of yesterday). Goldstein will be slamming the ball down Cunnington & Simpkin's throats all day, and they will look to just move the ball forward at all costs, to try and put our defence under pressure. They will almost certainly try to play man on man when we exit D50, in an attempt to stifle our ball movement (which is the reason we've scored so heavily this year), and force us to go long and to a contest.

We've worked very hard since the Lions game, and we finally got some reward yesterday (albeit in an ugly way). The absolute last thing we need, is for our confidence to be completely shot when we head to Perth to face the Eagles next week.

I'm quietly confident we win this whilst being acutely cognisant of our recent history in games like this.

Good little test actually for a team wanting to be consistent with its effort and blue collar.

Had a win in a grind. Boys starting to get a bit fatigued as the young players start to fade a bit. Playing a team your expected to beat in a year when your not expected to win much.

Will be another good watch as to whether the application is there from all involved. We have been on for probably 8 out of 9 games which is a really positive sign that this club is doing it.

Thoughts on the Tarryn Thomas bump?
He was given 1 week (and now contesting) and he's that valuable to Norf and could be a big difference in this game.
Did CJ sub out under concussion?

Seems pretty tough to be rubbed out for that really. Walla needs to be careful the way he goes in and bumps too. You basically can't bump anymore and Thomas was bracing himself for contact as much as anything.

In - Cox , Waterman

Out - Smith Zaharakis

Sub - Zaharakis/ Cahill

Would be tempted to play Bryan, but still thought Phillips competed really hard without winning a lot of the ball. Bryan coming in and playing against Goldy would be a big ask. Please no more Cox in the ruck
