There's no guarantee of how a team responds to something like this. They could run out through brick walls and steam-roll us, they could come out fired up for 10 minutes then drop back to normal, or it could flatten them completely.......

What an awful tragedy for the Selwood family.
Nobody should have to go through this once, but twice
A weird one today with the devastating news from yesterday, kind of feels like football will be a secondary thought for many today. Everyone with a heartbeat will be hurting for the Selwood family and the unimaginable pain they will be feeling. I still can't get my head around it, to lose one child, but to lose another 3 months later, a set of twins, and both to suicide, just devastating for the Selwoods. And Ross is mourning the loss of Wallsy, what role does footy play on a day like today, we'll find out soon enough but no doubt it will be an emotional day.

1. West Coast are due.
2. We have a sustained run of bad form (1 in 6).
3. We were absolutely atrocious last week as Carlton’s result this week shows, they are not good.
4. Don’t trust the senior players to perform if put under serious pressure by west coast.
5. We’ve picked a weird team, forward line is completely unbalanced.
6. Shouldn’t even be said really cause it’s much bigger then football but the Selwood tragedy factor, you never how it will affect the team.

Was gonna lay off the booze for a few days but feeling a little anxious about this one so just went out into the general public (which I was hoping to avoid today) and bought a slab. Game still hours away but I feel better already.
