Reckless conduct or whatever it’s called. You can’t just barge into people from behind 15 metres off the ball and cause injury and claim it was a fair hip and shoulder.

It’s umpires taking charge. Good decision.

And that would be a mistake.
No way could Brown, or any player, expect that bump to result in a stretcher.

It shouldn’t but probably would and that’s a classic case of a grey area decision that would cause controversy one way or the other

I’m in the same boat CFC, my worry like I said in the Gaff thread is would the umpires pull out the card for something like that? I think they would and that’s why I’m not a fan.

You’re forgetting the umpire wanting to be centre of attention.
And nothing gets the crowd, the cameras, the media focused on an umpire more than a red card.
They’d love it.
