Looked like the players gave less of a s**t than the fans, ironic no one played for pride today. They may think whats the point but they are representing this club, insipid effort.

Recruiting has been fine.

They've played under a hack for 6 years during the time they should've been developing.

Unfortunately this is too true. For the last six years they’ve just been told to bomb the ball long without even looking, you can’t improve something if it isn’t being trained.

I’m the complete opposite, diametrically opposed. Can’t work out how many people shrug their shoulders about it.

Heaps to play for, potential coach audition, haven’t beaten this mob in years and they were there for the taking. Any club going places wins this game. It was a real litmus test this one and we failed big time.

Trade Jake Carlisle please.

He just cannot handle playing for a losing team. He isn't a CHB, he is a massive HBF/7th defender and we have that covered in Battle, Wilkie and possibly Roberton.

Richmond, GWS and Geelong would love him right now. Not sure how many bridges he burned and the Bombers but he'd go alright there too. He's no good for us in the 6/6/6 era.

Feel like that last qtr might hurt Ratten's chances too. We had that game in the first half. We were the better team, we just couldn't finish in front of goals. Once the Swans jagged a couple in a row the scoreboard pressure went up and we cracked. Just had to be better prepared to slow the game down and compose ourselves. We tried to rush, made mistakes and got killed on the turnover.

If Rob Harvey comes in all guns blazing I can see the club taking him on board to try and unite the fan base.

To be fair, Sydney looked a far better team from the get go, we did stop them from playing their game in the second, but you know once they get their game going, they’ll hit the score board easily..

We really need a reboot of the current game style and start culling players with clear limitations and sets high standards/demand them. that to me means Ratten will not get the job..

Probably because winners fight until the end, regardless of the situation. Looks like a culture problem, just turn up collect your pay cheque.

Our fifth bottom 5 finish done 2013. This has been a miserable era.

Strange. Pointless game but just strange.
Bring rowe in as third tall and then take Membrey out of the forward line.
Acres and Dunstan used very little after half time.
If we want to improve we should not see Newnes, Lonie or Sinclair in the team.
Get that fraud Dixon away from the club and sue him for damages.

Wasn't a pointless game, as usual we got plenty of them!

Just a heads up for some for of you. Stop getting your hopes for an improbable win on the road, based on some decent form in Melbourne. Unless we are playing Gold Coast the form never carries over. Repeat never.

I'm sick of watching the same shite interstate time after time. Begin crap, convert crap, rally a bit then get rolled by 8-10 goals. Talk about dejavu.

At least I won't have to watch it again until our first road trip next year.

Result wise it was what I expected today but it didn't make it any easier to watch.

At least it should make us do our due diligence with the coach selection process and not get sucked in with the feel good Ratts story.

About 7 wins from memory. I don’t believe you are grasping what I am writing. Supporters incl myself are pissed off with the past 8 years. Another year down the drain & despite expectations compounds the frustration. You can be satisfied with the year & today, that is your right. It’s also other supporters right to be disappointed. Why is this a thing?
