Autopsy Round 23, 2025 - Carlton feast on corpse

The Kenny Hinkley Farewell Tour continues to deliver. The icing on the cake was Hinkley admitting in the post match press conference that hanging around this season has been hard for him and he'll be glad when it's over.
Lol. Literally nobody is benefitting from the Ken Hinkley farewell tour, not even Ken Hinkley.

Once again under the master motivator Kenny Hinkley we give a team a significant head start by not being switched on at the first bounce. I thought we were heading for a Hinkley special goalless quarter before Boak goaled 20 minutes in.

WALK then you fat parasite. Either he's a money grubbing leech, or his unchecked ego has him thinking that his genius, stable guidance and wisdom is actually GOOD for the club and we'd be even worse this year without him. Even worse than a team with 7 10 goal floggings.

For all the hype lorenz gets on our board he was pretty invisible today

When all you drive has to come from first year players like berry and moraes who only played a half it says a lot. Willie would only chase for a burger dbj jogs on the spot and for his decent disposal holy fk farrell is one lazy cherry picker live

Liddy tries hard but all i can see is a state league glorified kane mitchell/sam gray. Try hardery for longery but dont have the disposal efficiency to go with it

Lord is lord
Mead in the backline still again on one of the oppos most nimble and quick players jessie motlop who had 5 score involvements whilst mead has a measly 10 as a rebounding back

Did I hear correctly that Atkins will be in for a farewell game next week?

Pitiful.
I'm genuinely annoyed at this. That treatment is reserved for club legends, maybe AFL legends etc.

Not Rory Atkins who played the vast majority of his career for our arch rivals, and played 2 games for us.

Absolutely a waste of development giving him a game. I'd rather give that game to literally anyone else on our list.

I can sort of see why they passed on Butters and went for Rozee but it just wasn’t going to work out.
Trying to come up with other names that would warrant being Ports captain isn’t easy.
Apart from Butters I can’t think of one that is remotely close to taking the role.
Lack of leadership has been a huge problem for years. With the exception of Butters we just dont recruit players with the required mentality.

WE ARE NOT A SERIOUS FOOTBALL CLUB. We should be playing in the Amateur League.

It works like this.
The Hinkley haters never go to a game and haven’t for years.
The happy clappers go every week because they believe it’s not all Ken’s fault and other things like injuries are a big reason.
There’s enough people that don’t hate Ken to make a reasonable crowd.
That’s the good thing about Football ⚽️.
The supporters turn nasty very quickly if the results go bad.
I am a Hinkley hater from mid 2015 & I still go to most games. There are others like me. Lets hope we give Daddy Donuts the reception he deserves.

We tried to solve it in 2018. It didn’t work.

The lack of (actual) leadership goes from the top all the way down to the playing group.

Never been so embarrassed to tell people who I support.

At our lowest ebb, circa 2010-12, I proudly wore my PAFC hoodie and PA New Era cap interchangeably.

Now I wouldn’t be caught dead in our merch.

There’s probably a bit in that, but I presume there’s now plenty of post-Footy Park mediocrity-immune sing’n’swayers to pick up the slack, so the club’s unbothered.

I heard an interview with John Cahill back in his Maggie coaching days where he said if he didn't think the players were switched on as they were about to go up the race he would call them back into the rooms for another pep talk.
I believe he learnt the tactic from his mentor Fos, and it was seen as one of those 1 percenters a coach did which could make the difference between winning and losing.

It is impossible to imagine either of the greatest coaches in the club's once illustrious history ever saying the words `it's a tough game and someone has to lose' or the absolute gem of Hinkley's way too long tenure at Alberton `finals are scary!' or the club having a limp wristed hierarchy who thought that crap was acceptable! o_O

A completely pointless exercise. According to Koch though it is going exactly as expected.
AFL: "David, we think your club is a completely pointless exercise but we'd appreciate it if you could keep it from being a financial drain on our coffers and out of the way of the heartland clubs challenging for premierships."

Koch: "Things are going exactly as expected."

I think it’s worse than that. It’s not that Koch believes in the truths he hears from the AFL. He believes in the LIES!

Coming in peace here, that decision to suspend Wines for 3 weeks is a joke. It was worthy of a week at most. Christian is the most corrupt piece of shit at AFL house. And there is a lot of corrupt pieces of shit there.

AFL is running behind on their quotas because whenever Collingwood, Geelong or any team north of Victoria infringe, the can only use rulebook B by serving fines reprimands. Rulebook A is reserved for everyone else and rulebook C for Port because they need to add the Port tax to any decision making process.

We won a last quarter in a game that was all over at half time. That makes 3 winning last quarters in 22 games.

At least seven first choice players out and a Coach who won't be here next year is not exactly a recipe for success.
I really hope supporters hold the club to higher standards than they did during this era of excuse ridden mediocrity

They're short a shit ton of money for their end of year bonuses. The AFL has become a ****ing embarrassment.
