Round 23 Boycott, if they wont listen, make them listen.

I dont see any point in boycotting
it will send a message

although i dont think boycotting will be necessary, once the dogs result is known, no point going, no-one will go.

Why would you go to cheer and clap these clowns for their great season, they deserve nothing for what they have served up

The crowds were s**t when we were ok..

You do come off like a deranged moron more often than not. Your obsession with our crowds is borderline psychopathic. Up until this year our home crowd averages were all north of 38,000. To put this in context, in Soccer mad Italy, in it's capital, Rome, a city the size of Melbourne, it's 2 Serie A world famous Giants Roma and Lazio average crowds of 38,000 and 34,000 respectively. Our crowds are fine. The fact that so many rock up to watch our terribly coached football team is a solid reflection of Port supporters appetite to show up, in a market where our cross city rivals outnumber us 2 to 1. STFU about our crowds. You are sounding like Rucci, blaming the crowd for Ports pitiful performance. People are fed up, just like you are with your incessant negativity.

Boycotting insinuates I still care and if i still cared I'd rock up regardless to support the club financially.

A more powerful opportunity would be to run a lobby with Port power brokers to run a counter membership to Port.

Essentially instead of becoming Port members, become Port NewCo members. By February, it would force the SANFL and AFL to sit around the table and discuss the license and board issue.

Taking back our club from the SANFL is a must.

Nothing wrong with the weather against GWS, 28k showed up it’s not just the rain REH
I said only about 2 games haven't been affected by rain. For me that was North and GWS.

It's winter . It rains.
That doesn't make it good conditions like you said.

You are ****ing kidding yourself if you don't think every club is affected by weather.

It wont send a message at all.

Has there ever been a sporting club whos made a decision on a few thousand boycotting supporters? Anywhere in the world?

Ill go to watch my football club play football and support them in playing football on the day.

A few thousand not turning up, who probably made their mind up weeks ago not to go anyway does nothing. In fact a whole stack of people not turning up to games, ensuring we make a loss on the day, helps to ensure he wont be sacked because the more that dont turn up, the more we cant afford to do it.

A better strategy would be to end up with 50,000 at the game chanting Hinkley Out or No We Kent or something

I will be there, but I don't expect even a half-capacity crowd to turn up.

Especially if the Bulldogs have the crows on toast.

No We Kent.

Brilliant.

Nah. The cost of sacking him won't change. It's a fixed cost. He has his contract in place.

What needs to occur for him to be sacked is for it to be made very clear to the powers that be that the cost of sacking him will be outweighed by the cost of not sacking him.

Again, I totally disagree with this. The match day loss by having 10,000 less people rock up is minuscule compared to the loss of 10,000 memberships. This is the message these dickheads need to get and this is the message that will keep them awake at night.

They are of course but to the level we are , not so much. Saturday night Vs GWS in the dry was the telling point.
Sure the GWS crowd was poor given the stakes of the game, but why did you say -
"We've had s**t crowds in good conditions consistently all year... The club doesn't care."

All year?? We know the SMA crowds numbers are dodgy, but our crowds haven't been shit. They have been average to good for the opponents we have played and the time slots we have played.

I reckon even the bulldogs game with 25k was a good crowd for the pissing down with rain conditions.

You Melbourne people are the most sports crowd orgasm obsessed sports fans in the world. ****ing Bruce McAvaney tries to tell us that 33,000 for a North v Hawks game under the roof is a pretty good crowd and if we get anything under 40,000 its a shit crowd according to you and the other dills.

10,000 not turning up for one game the club misses out on a minimum $24,000, the SMA about on about 140,000 revenue and the SANFL about $30,000 catering commission. Not sure how much game day costs we have to cover are.

10,000 x 11 game membership means $2.5m to $3m revenue goes missing.

i agree with macca in theory, we should all be there in solidarity to support the actual team out there every home game, if we hate the regime running the club we can voice that together. but we are pretty far away from that right now

Hard to support the actual team after their insipid effort on Saturday night. How many goal less quarters this year? How many other insipid efforts this year? They don't deserve my support after failing to take advantage of a gift to lock in a finals spot.

I will go, but with no enthusiasm. Probably will wake up when an umpire makes a totally ridiculous call against us that is borderline corruption.

i know, for me personally there is not much Port Adelaide out there to support, like BomberClifford I have attended my least games this year and am not happy or proud about it

I like the thinking outside the box — a "Port Supporters Club"... Not sure it would have many support, but depending on how the actual club goes, it might get traction.

Same but I don't know why I'll be going either. We really need to loose and there's a but of Vanilla players I just don't care to watch eg Dixon, Hartlett, Westhoff, Broadbent and Co

I really wish we did a proepr clean out this year and properly backed in youth. Frampton, Garner, Drew all deserved more consecutive games, a privilege the first round picks got.
