Dunstalls story is a cracker and it's more that he was saying how far behind he was as a professional in all his years at Hawthorn. Not a dig at Willie's old man. I'm sure they would've had a good laugh about it at the time.
Willie , imo, is embarrassed about showing the ball to his opponent while one metre out from goal, probably copped some flack from it, and just felt the need to post a reason why he did it!!
Then , not only did he accuse Dunstall and the clubs handling of Cyril but then changed the narrative to " play with fire , you get burnt" rhetoric!! Well, here's the thing, Willie would know what gets you burnt, as a cheating athlete getting caught at wce,plus if you wanna post in social media about hatred of a quite a large club, you should also know that a certain percentage of replies will be derogatory, as we unfortunately, do have some backward thinking supporters, as do all clubs. There's his second lesson.

Unless Morris had sources Willie Rioli Jr took umbrage to it, not sure why Channel 9 dug that footage up. It wasn't malicious at all, so is almost slander, and Dunstall would rightfully be fuming

We've seen Ginnivan lairising in a similar fashion, so i didn't see it as a big deal personally.

We've seen Ginnivan lairising in a similar fashion, so i didn't see it as a big deal personally.

Does anyone have vision of our players taunting the opposition like that? Maybe I just remember favourably to our guys but apart from the goal celebrations (which are imo to celebrate a goal with fans and players) I don’t really recall one like that. The commentary that we can give it but can’t take it is baffling.

We're going back pretty far to know what happened with Willie Snr at Hawthorn, but it obviously wasn't enough to prevent Cyril coming to us. In any case, we all have our reasons for hating certain clubs, and Willie is more than entitled to his.

That's different to dishing it out but can't take it. People are either deliberately mis understanding it all to get a rise out of the supporters or they genuinely don't know the difference between celebrating goals with team mates and giving it out but not taking it.

Chiefy’s anecdote was meant in good fun, there was no malicious, or other connotations in it I’m sure, but in this era of heightened sensitivities, especially when race is involved, perhaps he could have left out the player’s name.
I’m still scratching my head about the Port game, was it just one of those things, move on and learn or something else.
We were on the back foot from the start, but once they got a run on, we seemed powerless to stop it.
Massive fan of Sammy’s but we just seemed too slow, too late to react. We were shell shocked. Why not lock down Butters, Rozee or JHF early, those guys always smash us. Finn imo should have been sent to one of those guys in the first quarter.
Lots of questions but we will see what the response is against Geelong, they’re the other side of course who seem to have our measure. And Sammy’s.
