Carlton God said:Don't be stupid that would mean Carlton would be on free to air on Saturday night as opposed to being relegated to Foxtel. That goes against all the rules the AFL have when releasing the fixture.
AFL Rules regarding the fixture
#1 - Limit Carltons free to air exposure.
yeh, Carlton God, i wouldnt be upset at ur lack of tv exposure, i mean the more games u win the more u will get. melbourne had a shocking tv schedule this year.Lowie01 said:AFL Rules regarding free-to-air exposure.

Collingwood's wonderfull draw. Bout' time too I say!Russian said:Steven Trigg just confirmed that West Coast will go to Adelaide in round 1, and the Crows will go to Perth in round 22 and host Collingwood in round 21.
Carlton God said:Yes if only that were true but no. You see Foxtel started whinging mid way through 2002 about never getting games involving the "big teams" and always having to broadcast garbage like Kangaroos vs Bulldogs. So in the AFL's wisdom they thought they would make Carlton the "big team" that Foxtel could have. About 16 games last year, probably another 16 this year.
Why aren't Essendon or Collingwood ever on Foxtel? It's a simple answer - Ron Evans and Eddie Mcguire.

No ******** , but the draw would never be set up like that not due to the AFL never organising it that way but because the free to air football networks would never let it happen.Carlton God said:Yeah I do actually. It's spot on. It's just a pity our new administration is too gutless to stand up to the AFL about this or about anything. If the draw was set up so Chokewood would have 16 games on Foxtel, McGuire would never shutup about it.

Does he run channel 10 aswell?Carlton God said:Of course it wouldn't happen, your president runs football at channel 9, I don't think he's going to complain about no Carlton games do you?

Jars458 said:AGAIN in Perth in round 22. So because its no showdown we have to go to Perth in Round 22. Give me strength.
Let me guess, no Vic clubs will travel in Round 22.
bucksisbest said:Does he run channel 10 aswell?
Ofcourse he's not going to complain , but it's irrelevant he doesn't pick the games the network wants to telecast .
Actually Channel 9 go through the draw and pick their preferred game for Friday nights before the season starts and Channel 10 pick the best game available on a Saturday night 6 weeks in advance.Carlton God said:I know he doesn't pick them, the AFL basically decide which games are on by how they structure the draw, are you stupid or something?
