Rumour Rumors of cat player in big trouble

I think the well worn "personal leave" could have been wheeled out. That's worked plenty of times.

Every other club would have done EXACTLY the same thing.

Well yeah and it would have been the truth.

Every other club is irrelevant. Although a couple have used personal reasons/leave this season for things with players.

I find your comments very upsetting, does that make you a troll?

How can I not but find this false accusation upsetting.

"Psychological projection is a defense mechanism in which the ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves and attributing them to others. A bully may project their own feelings of vulnerability onto the target, or a person who is confused may project feelings of confusion and inadequacy onto other people."
If you say so :)

What the arrogant Geelong FC did wrong was to put Tanner Bruhn on the injury list, because, once off the injury list that normally means you are eligible to play, but the uninjured Tanner Bruhn is not playing, so that means that something is not normal in this case. All that nonsense led me to put my investigative skills to use, and in that process I've discovered that a Geelong player has been accused of a heinous sexual assault, could this player be the uninjured and not playing Tanner Bruhn is what I was compelled to ask myself? And of course, because of this thread that's been given the go ahead on BigFooty and that you all follow, I've discovered that it is in fact Tanner Bruhn that's been accused of a heinous crime.

So, in my opinion the Geelong FC (with the AFL's approval) putting Tanner Bruhn on the injury list (when he should've been out indefinitely with mental health issues) indicates that both the Geelong FC & the AFL fought for this case to be resolved in the same way that the Burgoyne, Heuskes and the never charged Michael O'loughlin case was, and that it hasn't, is cringeworthy.

I for one wont be watching the AFL until this whole sordid affair has been resolved to my satisfaction.
Stunning and brave thing to say when you support Noah Balta FC.

Dont want to over reach but is Geelong's interest in Worpel because they are planning their list without one of their midfielders?
Maybe

To be honest though we are pretty thin there anyhow. Guthrie can't get right, Danger getting old, Clark not coming on as quickly as maybe hoped.

Did he even play much midfield? Thought he was more of a flanker who had the odd spurt around ball but nothing prolific

Because they are not allowed to say anything about it or they would be in contempt of court. There are penalties for that, you can be jailed.

They aren’t really lying, he was injured at the beginning and then I think they just didn’t list him anywhere. Why does it matter? I certainly couldn’t give a rats bum how they list him.
also people are incredibly naive if they don't think the AFL also has fingerprints all over this, there would have been discussions on how best to handle it, the listing of the injury etc. The fact no journos are mentioning it, I mean clearly they have been told by the AFL not to.

No they've been told by the court not to.
There will have been discussions, yes, but I agree with kickazz that there will definitely be a legal ruling on it, not a policy ruling. Otherwise, the AFL could squash literally any story it doesn't like.

He's a midfielder. Part of the reason why he's been more of a solid contributor and not really taken the next step has been that he hadn't been able to get his tank up to where it needs to be as a full time mid. He spends a lot of time on the bench.

I mean, I am obviously aware of this as well... but you can't tell me an ambulance chaser like Jon Ralph wouldn't like to try cryptically mention or drop something in there if he thought he could get away with it.
They can't say anything due to the courts, but I also would imagine the AFL have absolutely warned the media networks/journos to stay well away from it also

Why would a journo not listen to the courts, but listen to the AFL?

Because in the current media landscape clicks are all that matters, and there are plenty of the footy journos who would love to say titbits without saying anything just for the clicks... which wouldn't breach any suppression orders IMO

The AFL don't want any whiff of it mentioned at all, and they are getting what they wanted...

This is obviously just my view on it

If the AFL were that powerful, nobody would have reported on the Adelaide Crows camp, or Essendon's doping.

Those two things were effectively self reported by the players though. There are tons of open secrets well known across the industry that haven't seen the light of day in the media.

The AFL control access to accreditation. Getting on the wrong side of them potentially means career over for a footy journo.
