Rumour Rumors of cat player in big trouble

I'm not attacking geelong, but ive just spotted him with the cats boys on TV. Not sure that's a great look, given the allegations. I would've thought the less association, the better.

Was a bit weird. Hidden the whole year, and he's suddenly standing on the ground during the GF presentations.

Absolute disgrace that he was in attendance.

I’m hoping this bloke is never seen representing Geelong again.

If he is, after 40 years of supporting the cats, I’m at the age where I’ll always love the club and watch from a distance but I will never tip any money into a club that supports a guy like the player mentioned.

If the case is dismissed (which currently seems likely) - why?

If the case is dismissed (which currently seems likely) - why?

Because the case has not been dismissed and there has beenroughly a 20% increase in domestic violence incidents on GF day over the past few years. It's one of days with the highest rates of DV and Violence against Females in the country. Given his court case is still on going, and the stats aeound the day, it's a poor look to have him on field given he hasn't played all year.

It would be like Erin Patterson going on My Kitchen Rules whilst her case was still being heard.

I'm not a lawyer and respect the presumption of innocence until proven guilty but that doesn't mean the accused hasn't let himself and the club down by putting himself in this position in the first place. He only has himself to blame.

These guys (AFL players) have more education on topics of consent etc than most people. They start this education from under 15 level. He’s an adult and should be treated as such. Guilty or not he’s put himself and the club in this position. It’s a disgrace and an embarrassment that he was out on the field after today’s game, very poor judgement from the club I love.

I'm not defending him being there today - I agree that's a terrible look.

But if the case is dismissed - whilst I agree with MTN above that he should not have put himself in that position - I don't see an issue with him continuing his career.

The pre game act sang about his bitches and hoes and pimps. That’s where the standards are.

whats he doing out on the ground? if theres a suppression order and no one can discuss it to hide his identity, whats he doing on a ground infront of 100k people and few million on tv

Im actually shocked the AFL let him on the ground
Him name is suppressed . only Big footy posters know the name

? no shit, doesnt change the fact he shouldn't be out there since he was the one who applied for the suppression order, they had him listed as fake finger injury to stop people initially asking questions but here he is on the ground infront of millions

How'd his finger look? Is it going to make it?

What on earth are the AFL and Geelong doing here? How stupid can you be?

It’s obvious they need a no-fault stand-down clause in contracts like the NRL has. You have to get them out of the public eye.

This is one of the dumbest PR fails I’ve ever seen from the AFL.

I'm all for calling the AFL dumb, because they often are, but they would have had no prewarning/idea that this was going to happen.
The AFL would give competing clubs a certain number of passes into the ground and it's up to the clubs themselves to use them wisely. This is not something the league would micromanage. This would 100% be on Geelong, I wouldn't put it past Hocking that it is a deliberately provocative flipping the bird type gesture towards the AFL to parade him around on the ground after a loss.

I agree he shouldn't have been there - but what does it have to do with the suppression order?

Because the suppression order is hiding it, why would you then want to go out and publicise it to those that know by standing on the ground in front of millions of people
????????????????????????????

What do you mean publicise it? How is him standing on the ground with his team publicising anything? Again, I don't agree that he should be there but his name has been suppressed, other than footy nerds like us on this forum 98% of people wouldn't have the slightest idea

publicise it by the fact if he was on the ground, I wouldn't of given him a spare second thought, why is he there??? hes unavailable to play and facing serious charges

I'll give you an example, I see him on the ground and I turn to my mate and inform him of whats going on, answer me this why is he out there?

By virtue of him being out there lets "footy nerds" talk about it more, secondly its not just footy nerds that know, most people that follow football with any sort of awareness knows, obviously the casual supporter doesnt but you are making it out thats its a small section of big footy that knows

Theres posts on twitter about it with 100k+ views on numerous posts

Basically yeah, I would suggest if you have a suppression order in place that a lot of people know about I would suggest you dont go on a national tv with 4mill people watching
I suppose you have almost 100 posts in here clearly stating you don't understand what a suppression order is I'm not sure why I even tried to think you'd understand basic conversational English or what the word publicise means.
