Thought he played well enough last week to be retained for this weeks game.

Will be a loss if he does indeed go.

If he was to leave it would be SPECTACULAR news for the club. We have three players who can play his exact role at the moment and the compensation (2nd in our B&F and a former first round draft pick) would be great.

Yes fair chance. But I would think that Mitchell would be at the Hawks next year 2 months ago, but sometimes, just sometimes where there is smoke there is fire(is that the saying)???

I like Russell and always thought he would get it right. But imagine finishing near the top in 2012 and knowing we are about to get a potential number 1 pick.

For those that didn't see, I asked Marty Pask (his player manager) after an interview I did a couple of weeks ago. He says the rumours are crap and had no idea where they had come from.

Some interesting developments on the Bucks, Malthouse & Ratts saga...

Now i must preface i have heard other stories, and that some time ago i mentioned that we no longer wanted Malthouse and that Ratts is definitely staying, but ill let you know what i was told today.

There are concerns at Collingwood that because Bucks sets such high standards for himself that he will find it very difficult to understand that a players best is just that. They are trying to tame his expectation upon players so that they don't become disgruntled and loose confidence.

Mick Malthouse is definitely gone from Collingwood next year. There is no chance he will fulfill any roll at Collingwood. Bucks can't stand him and doesn't want him at the club in any shape or form.

Which brings me on the next next bit of information

Should we lose this weekend Ratt's is definitely gone and Mick will be on board next year.

Now like i said i have heard that both we were no longer interested in Mick and that Ratts was definitely staying, and now this from someone else who would know a thing or two about this situation. Someone close to the Collingwood family.

Yeah, that rumour has really started to build over the last month or so. One of my acquaintances who often has a few of the players over to this place is saying there's real tension within the club, and nobody can see the transition going smoothly.

Will be real interesting if Pies win the flag again, as it's looking very, very likely Malthouse will finish up at Collingwood at the end of this season
