I
If I was the GG I would not accept ScoMo as our new PM, I would send Australia into a full election.
I thought the same thing, but Antony Green explained that under our system, the GG does not appoint the PM. He simply accepts that the leader of the house majority fills the role. It is up to the HoR to hold a vote of no-confidence to oust the PM.

If ScoMo ups the ante on 'reducing immigration' and 'strong borders', watch Shorten sweat and his own voter base turn on him.

The Libs have this election in the bag, so long as Turnbull doesn't pull a Rudd.

Which he might.
Hahaha hahaha kerplunk

The white anting will continue as long as Abbott, Dutton, Andrews, etc are in the Parliament. He'll last as long as the next election and then lose his head when the coalition is crushed.

There's already talk of Dutton remaining in the cabinet while Bishop will be shuffled to the back bench, it's just baffling.

I think Dutton stays in Cabinet on the principle of "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer".

Morrison must do the following:

Promote Dutton possibly to Treasurer.

Bring more women in Cabinet, That should please the feminists.

Promote the Governments successes.

Remain tough on boats.
JF has already been mentioned as treasurer. makes sense.
Dutton back to Home Affairs
Might be worth giving Abbott Indigenous Affairs, a post he's passionate about.
Bishop remains Foreign Affairs perhaps
Who knows from there.

Can't imagine too much change from the policies under Turnbull, but done so with a bit more political nous.

Certainly not worth making any renovations

Abbott never got the chance to live in the Lodge. During the term when he was Prime Minister, it was undergoing extensive renovations.

Of course, he resided in barracks in Canberra. :D

As deputy leader, Frydenberg gets the pick of his portfolios (it's convention). He's already selected Treasury, as he doesn't want to be forever on a plane with a young family at home (having to travel to Canberra is hard enough on politicians with young families).

I think Morrison will offer foreign affairs to Bishop but there's been talk that she may choose to leave Parliament at the next election, so she might choose to step down from Cabinet.

I would expect Dutton to get Home Affairs. Means the policies don't change and that will be important.

my guess is Bishop stays on until prior to the election, then she'll make a call. Her seat won't be lost
She's very handy as a formidable politician to turn to if the leadership goes belly up again, but i can see an ambassador posting if she doesn't stay

Frydenberg is a details man. I think he'll be a good treasurer.

Defence, Energy and Education is where they need to pick some good ministers to run them.

This no hoper bastard will not make it past the next election.

The only Liberal that had any chance was Bishop.

Instead we take one step forward getting rid of Turnbull and take a thousand backwards by replacing him with Scott Morrison who is even more worthless.

It's a ****ing farce.

Will the Mad Monk get rewarded for his wrecking is the question. On the basis it's better to have him inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in.

Morrison is going to be useless...

Didn’t want the banking royal commission called it a populist whinge, how wrong can you be.

He is not that smart
