The thing is it seems very unlikely that the alleged incident was the alleged perpetrators only alleged incident.
It often isn't. If they get away with it once, they often look for opportunities to do it again.

You mean have a Govt agency do a job worth doing in overseeing the system? The LNP would just slash it like they did to the oversight on aged care then be surprised when people were doing awful stuff because nobody checks.

The LNP sets up a private industry which is tasked with keeping claims down as a KPI, get paid handsomely and donate some of that money back to the LNP a-la Sarina Russo's Job Active. It's exactly the same thing they did with Unemployment, they pay private industry to do paperwork and deny claims all to the long-term detriment of people involved.

It's LNP Grift 101. Why create an agency which works, when you can create an agency which profits?

And the worst grifting ever is the privatisation of further education which created some of the worst education outcomes at huge expense imaginable.

How can anyone work with this minister who allegedly r*ped a child and there is evidence to show it happened.
Everyone knows it happened because of the diary kept and the good character of the victim who had no incentive to make it up.
His position is untenable. How can these liberal ministers continue to support a child rapist?
I just caught a bit on the project that said Morrison hadn't read the documents he was given on the case, how stuffed is that if true

Yeah who cares about aged care? Was the biggest issue last year, now you want to complain they are talking about it?

We will all stop complaining when they do something about it.

Right now ScottyFromMarketing has said he is going to wait for the budget - ie. news cycle will have moved on by then.

He announced $450m funding today without a single detail what the hell it is for.

He just talks.

You poor victim

please tell us how brave you were for posting that you pathetic delusional campaigner

Lol, how nice. Seems to be a tactic of the leftists on this board, attack and abuse posters until they all leave then scream how no one will defend Morrison. Maybe it’s no one can be bothered with posters like you?

Although reading in other threads, not all posters leave by their own choice.

Link isn't working, did she bring up the prospect of using parliamentary privilege to name the accused? Coz she did in a cameo on 7.30 just now.
She doesn't want to as she feels the PM should deal with it..........but I think she is throwing the possibility out there

Cabinet minister rape claim: Sarah Hanson-Young doesn't rule out naming accused MP in parliament
Senator says ‘crisis of integrity’ hangs over government while minister remains in post, as legal experts say prosecution possible despite alleged victim’s death

Sarah Hanson-Young has accused Scott Morrison of a “deafening” silence over the historical rape allegation against a cabinet minister and has left open the possibility of detailing the complaint in parliament.

How many of your mates are suspected rapists?

Remember from earlier discussions here one regular on this board had three mates accused of rape

All girls making it up of course

I had a mortgage at 18% under Keating. The bloke was and is a turnip. Now living in palatial circumstances with his superannuation that he set up with all his fancy effing clocks.

Hawke/Keating are the only reason this country resides in the 21st century.

I don’t expect you to understand because you really aren’t very bright.

Why is Birmingham telling the media about the Law concerning the latest alleged rape?

Isn't that the Attorney Generals job?
Birmo practising for when he gets the AG gig...

A shame their ACAT and Home Care packages are woefully underfunded at this time.
A shame Home Care providers skim the top off entitlements in monthly payments to themselves.
That system needs to be scrutinised and fixed.

Also, ACAT needs more staff.
How many patients are waiting in acute beds in hospitals for an ACAT to be even completed, let alone a bed in a home after that?

Ugh ACAT, when Mum's dementia was worsening we had one ACAT meeting and got a few things set up because she wanted to stay in her home.
Fast forward 7 months and I called again asking to escalate it to get further help. 2 months went by and I rang and said why have we not had a meeting yet for extra help. They told me they rang Mum to ask her is she needed further help and Mum said no so the appointment was cancelled. I said she has dementia, she will say anything because she wants to please people. They told me they didn't actually have to tell me the outcome of their conversations with Mum. I didn't know whether to cry or be angry. The rules are often stupid and counter-intuitive.
