At this point I think we almost have to send Max to Sicily.

If we get beaten after another intercepting defender has a 10+ intercept game on us (most of which being uncontested marks) Ill go out of my mind
Fk me. Why are people obsessed with moving Max into the forward line.

Put him on Watson. Set and forget.

What a shit experience. I just finally got tickets and paid and its put me back in the queue and I can't even load the website to see if it actually went through

Can anyone tell me for AFL Finals what the appropriate split of tickets is between the home team and the away team? Seems that the home ground advantage is somewhat diluted by the presence of a massive travelling contingent.
No one is sure but sounds like the allocation is based on % of membership. nobudy seems to know though how it works.

My personal opinion is that playing Rash would be a very silly, desperate move. He would have had two weeks of full training under his belt. Zero match fitness and next to zero contact. You can’t throw someone, even with his talent, into a hot final against Hawks and expect him to perform under those circumstances. My guess is he won’t be picked at all.
This is do or die. He MUST play.

No doubt.

Despite this, i hope we still win, as will mean heaps to our young group to win a final, rather than go out in straight sets.
With the added bonus of playing an away prelim at the G. All good valuable experience.

Got to get the defensive matchups right this week. Here’s what I’d do:
  • Keane on Chol
  • Murray on Dear/Lewis
  • Worrell on Gunston
  • Bond on Watson
  • Michalanney on Ginnivan
  • Laird on Moore
What I don’t want to see - which I think we’ve been caught out on in recent weeks - is Murray getting caught on a mismatch with a small to midsized opponent. They’ve got a fleet of smalls (the above plus Butler, MacDonald) they can run thru their forward line so when they go small we need to react quickly rather than ‘relying on our structure’.

Looking at those match-ups I'd back us to win all of them!
