SFL Div 3 Reserves

First post guys had to say something i play in the ammo's but was watching the game in question because an old mate plays for canterbury. South yarra won fair and square easily. Harder and more committed to the ball. If canterbury where any good one player wouldnt make any difference even my mate said south yarra where too good and the coach should stop sooking.

got a feeling you are missing the point... south were better on the day as evident by the score- no one is disputing that, but rules are in place for a reason and it seems can be twisted to suit different needs and different clubs?

what if the player in question had kicked the winning goal? or this had happened in divy 1 or 2- i doubt the leauge would have let it go on for this long? but thats just my take on it-

South did win but not "fair and square". Rules have been broken. Don't forget that the bloke played on the ball, canterbury got smacked in that department, and he was rewarded with best on ground. I think he may have made some sort of difference.

Well, outcome from the hearing has come through and, as suspected by most, SFL will not be taking the matter of Bernard Brady and Sth Yarra any further. They have admitted that Canterbury are correct in the argument that he hadn't even qualified for reserve finals due to not playing enough reserve games, but because one official gave permission for Sth to play Brady in writing, there is nothing that can be done. Well done SFL, and well done Sth Yarra's. SFL continue to show that they have less balls than my neutered dog and if they continue in their current form, they will drive people away....mad:

mate i agree we were beaten on the day, but was it fairly? As for being a sook, i am employed by the canterbury football club not to just be a match day coach but to look after the 28 blokes who have been through my side this year. If you call me a sook for being thorough and finding a discrepancy in the oppositions team list, that had a bearing on the result well so be it. I just call it trying to be a good coach and doing the job i am employed to do properly. Coaching just isn't moving magnets on a board any idiot can do that

Dont't think Brady will be lining up. The SFL upheld canterbury's appeal in agreeing that he was ineligible, but there is no punishment. Therefore due to him now been "recognised" as ineligible, I don't think he'll take the field. Anyway, Big Rich told me that they will not be needing Brady's services this weekend on a nice PM, along with telling us to get over it. If your going to PM Big Rich, why don't you just post on the forum for everyone to see!
