Port did ok against Wet Toast in the wet.....Is it going to be wet ? Don’t mind that for us , think we will win by 20 points
I think we can live with Jenkins not being best 22 and playing SANFL. His salary is not massively high and somewhat palatable. He could also be traded.
Gibbs is expensive in terms of both salary and the trade. Seeing him play SANFL for long spells is too much if a wasted resource. He ain't leaving Adelaide so won't be traded out to cut salary.

Really? Is that an opinion or intel?
And who would be in?

There's a spot for Gibbs in defence, if Milera is predominantly a mid (which he should be!!).Long term the question is where do you play him if he isn’t in the midfield and Seeds and Brown are back in?

Gibbs just needs to accept this....There's a spot for Gibbs in defence, if Milera is predominantly a mid (which he should be!!).
Back 7 (in the 22): Keath, Talia, Hartigan/Fog, Smith, Laird, Brown, Gibbs.
On the Port board they're lolling about the Showdown medal:
And I don't blame them, it's truly awful.
But that image was the one published on the PAFC website in May 2018.

I can't find it on the interwebz, does anyone know if they're still using that awful design?

Who are the two players on the medal?

I don't think that's so much of a blessing. In the forecast conditions and with Port likely to be scrubbing the ball forward, Gibbs' undeniable skills would be very handy mopping up slop balls. Maybe a blessing in that Jones or McH could get a game though.Apparently Gibbs in doubt with back spasms. Blessing in disguise.

AgreeAs others have said, another big test for ROB (he's passing them so far!). If their rucks start to dominate, I want Greenwood and CEY given plenty of mid square time along with Sloane...they are more defensively minded/skilled than the Crouch's. If it's breaking even, back our normal line up.
Our obvious weakness that 2019 Port could exploit is lack of pace and quality on the outside in both an attacking and defensive sense. We could easily improve this by selecting McHenry and Jones. Their offensive output wont be much different stats wise than the incumbents but they will use the ball better and most importantly, their defensive contests and running power will be far superior.
Win our share of the contest but don't play stupid Crows footy of leaving the exits free for their outside players to run amok. Pressure their ball movement enough and we will feast all day on turnovers. If our pressure is substandard, they could have a day out.

Key players out for Port, damp night, coming into form, Boaky captaining. Everything points to us winning, which is why I've tipped Port.A dirty cold wet windy Saturday night, Port missing key players, Crows coming off a 6 day break against a brutal Freo game, this has all the ingredients of a "Never Tear Us Apart" upset win for the Power.
Would have preferred perfect conditions.

Yeah but Pittard has usually kept us in it so it balances outIsn't it always gray and wingard that killed us in recent times?
Without them surely we should win by 5+goals
