Can say I was not at all surprised, and your team will get the respect they deserve. Next year, they will be very hard to keep out of the 8- a more complete outfit than Bulldogs, who I also rate. They will get players back and be hard to beat too.
Your ability to get up again after being 9 points down deep in Q4 is immense.
We have had some amazing contests over the years, but I rarely leave Etihad happy after a Saints game.

Got to say it's good reading all the comments from non-Saints supporters on our board. Do you get the feeling that the Cats might have rubbed a few fans up the wrong way ? Made worse by the media's sickening love affair with Danger-wood ?

A true sign of our development will be next week against the Suns away from home. Let's hope we continue on the outstanding effort from this week and don't take the Suns lightly on their own turf.

Need more comments on Steven's game clinching 'soccer' goal. It looks sort of random in real time, but the amount of skill and composure that sort of kick takes in heavy traffic with the game on the line is unreal.

Thought Gilbert was solid all night, would be nice to see some of his doubters recognise when he has a game like this.

After hearing Geary mic'd up there can't be a single person on this board calling for his head, provides incredible leadership.

When a few young blokes improve going into 2017 & Carlisle comes into the fray (not to mention a top 10 draft pick) we're going to see a lot of close results start going our way - considering how tight the Hawks & North games were we'd probably be 8-5 with GC, Essendon and Melbourne as our next three games.

I think opposition peanuts better start looking beyond the whole "30 year old" "Will start to fall when the 30 year olds retire" "30 year olds always our most influential in wins" etc.

Against Carlton we won comfortably without three of our four 30 year olds.

Tonight we did it again without two of our most experienced defenders against the ladder leaders.

Watching the replay again without emotion knowing result. I'm still in shock at the umpiring, I'm more in shock that Geelong tried to take the gloss off our magnificent effort by blaming the umpires.

To come back from that ridiculous McCarthy downfield goal and the subsequent non free to Bruce against Ruggles in the third (when all of the ascendency was with the Cats) will be massive for this bunch of kids.

We beat 25 blokes tonight and I reckon this win means so much more than 4 points for the long term future of this group.
