Not sure if others have seen the picture in todays Herald Sun of S.Johnson and his hip. It's very bruised and the hip is a extremely tender area. I highly doubt that Johno will be playing this week.

I've had the same injury to a lesser extend and i could hardly walk. You've really gotta take your hat of to these footballers, they are very very tough!

God do we need Dog this week to perform some magic against the team he supported as a kid. Last week i was super impressed with his return game, he provided a spark, like Ricco.

I still think Aarom Hamill should have been investigated for the incident. He saw Dog coming and clearly raised his knee....

Thoughts?

Brenton Sanderson was right 2 years ago with his comments about the gutless wonder Hamill.

The media have been crapping on all week about bumps from Pickett and Hodge.Perhaps they should see what damage can be done by turds going in with the knee.

Good to hear Dermie say that Hamill should have put his head over the ball but opted against going for the ball and went the man only to end up injuring himself. Chicken.

Bomber was glowing in his praise for SJ because of this. He said something along the lines of that it was a great effort to play on and kick 3 goals with an injury that most others would not have been able to play with (including Bomber in his time).

Let's hope he comes up - I still have to watch the game (it's sitting here waiting for me to get the spare time!) but it sounds like his effort was a massive improvement, and if he continues in that vein he will be absolute gold in the forward line this week.

He will play its only a bruise, painkillers can do wonderful things.

I agree, we would be amazed if we knew just how many injections players were having just to get out there. Johnno will play!!

Damn right he should have been investigated. People raise elbows and go for it, so why not a knee. Sure there's kneeings all the time in contests, but they're nothing like what Hamill did.
When I heard the news headline's about bad luck for a big name Saint at the tribunal, I thought it was gonna be Hamill for sure, not Hudghton.

Hamill has always been a thug

If I ever had any respect for Hamill I lost it last year when he went for Corey Enright who was clearly injured. After all the Saints had carried on over Revolt.

SJ, however, won back a lot especially since that chase now appears to have been done under duress. Unless they were giving something other than painkillers. ;)

There are a few players in the AFL that really frustrate me. Aarom Hamil is the one that tops my list, closely followed by Alan Didak, Jeff Farmer & Gavin Wanganeen

Aaron Hamil is the worst offender though IMO he claims he is a tough man, yet he attacks smaller players, injured players, younger in-experienced players. He does however occassionaly crash a pack fairly and put his body on the line.

Just proves how much of a girl Hamil is. He knees dog in leui of attacking the ball, hurts his his knee, is out for up to 10 weeks and dog goes on to be one of the best on ground and kicks some very crucial goals!

GO DOG, GO CATS! Bring on the pies!

BRING ON THE HOFF!!

Notice how when Hamill raises the knee nothing happens.
Fev smacks a guy in the nuts it is deemed insuffiecent force and nothing happens.
Street hits a bloke in the guts and nothing happens.

But when Cam does insufficent force he gets a week.
When Scarlo 'maybe' hits a bloke somewhere in a pack he gets two weeks.

Give us a break ya dogs.

I think Bomber's pre-game comments were right when he said "they're [AFL] are out to get Cam"

If he were to elbow a guy in the nuts this week the same way Fev did, what Rd would he return ?
12 ? 15 ?

A rhetorical question for the AFL posed by Bruno (one of Sacha Baron Cohen's characters in Ali G in da USAi):

"Do you think consistency is important?" :thumbsu:

settle down you lot... I agree Hamill is a mutt but there was nothing in his clash with dog (pun not intended). They just ran smack into each other and Hamill reacted instinctively to protect himself. There was nothing malicious or malignant about it. Talk of him being rubbed out for that clash is miles off the mark.. i mean we all got uppity last week when MOOOONS got done for that "head butt" (and rightly so) so why are we now saying Hamill should get suspended for a similarly soft incident?
Short memories ey?

Though how Fevola avoided being cited for that squirrel grip is beyond me...
