I'd have Shaw back in a heartbeat I reckon. I rate him highly.
Mainly based on what I've seen & what I've heard...Why?
Mainly based on what I've seen & what I've heard...
Seen:
- his in-game changes in NEAFL were spot on for the most part & his development of our list has a direct correlation with his time as a development/neafl coach.
- likewise at AFL level thus far. His use of Cunnington & Ziebell in particular has been smart so far IMO.
Heard:
- The players seem to really love him. Both Swans & seemingly now the Roos boys... his work with AJ I rate very highly. He just sounds like he "gets it" from a player perspective.
What is the concern, is it the wicket area being too hard/slippery/muddy? Can't open article

Gee NSW Cricket are a boring lot...what more do they want, their own International Cricket Team? Oh s**t, they already have that don't they?Just linked the full article
While the SCG Trust and Cricket NSW are bunch of half forward flankers I am opposed to the Swans position. For me dealing with the centre pitch area is a traditional part of footy. Keep the pitch!
Agree with the sentiment but think it’s more about injury and potential litigation these days. You saw Belly on Saturday?
It won't get the use when the bum shiffers and divers go back next door. Also the stands would have to be redone to allow the cranes in to bring the drop ins in.Gee NSW Cricket are a boring lot...what more do they want, their own International Cricket Team? Who knew. Dawson and Rose went to same school in SA and are mates from way back. I think it’s really cool their playing together after the long wait to break into best 22 and injury.

Lol, they don’t use a crane and certainty won’t need to change the design of the stands to remove or instal the drop in wickets.

Im sorry to inform you that they do ! Trent Copeland NSW bowler also said the same today and really thanks for your cool photo.
There also has been a statement put out by the SCG trust champ. So hack back .If you bothered to watch the video, you would have noticed that they now use a specialised low rise carrier which picks up each of the wickets and carries them into place that can enter the field through the current access points just like they do with the rest of their machinery to lay turf etc.
Oh and I am not sure what a state cricketer has to do with leading edge turf management and stadium design, but hack your way further into nonsense.

What a wonderful article, perhaps the best I've read of that sad and sorry saga, brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for linking that Ted.How Adam Goodes' battle whoop became the core of a whirlwind
