Did they forget how horrible the Melbourne rebuild went? I'm not sure they want a decade languishing before they rebuildLooking back at Melbourne last decade, the Hawks will hope to have a similar rebuild and stack themselves with the talent to relaunch.

He could not wipe the smile off his face! You love to see it
I sure hope so, long way to go still of course.Appears to be a humble and articulate fellow as well.
It would be great if he could become a genuine forward / ruck, his stocks would surely soar and he would probably lock down a permanent position in the 22.

Lets assume this year the best forward trio is Amartey, McDonald and Buddy, once Lance retires at the end of the year Reid is a great addition to that group. Here's a discussion between Lloyd and Barrett on our abundance of big forwards (from 7:04).

AAA: 'Major' Buddy issue for Swans, dull Dogs are 'spooked', Cats exposed
Damian Barrett, Matthew Lloyd and Nat Edwards discuss a big weekend of storylines in Access All Areaswww.afl.com.au
Lloyd is saying 17 list managers are going to watching Amartey closely because he should be playing As every week.
Lloyd was wondering who we should drop -- apparently hadn't even heard of McLean, though Barrett had. But neither seemed to be aware of the Reid and Hickey absences which was very much to their point.
It does make me wonder about Sam Reid. Even if he stays injury-free, is this his last year too? He was fabulous last year
Lloydy going all in with A Major Issue with the Swans - is a bit funny. He's not aware of what we've got going, or the fact Amartey was subbed as planned on the weekend. Buddy as previously stated by Horse, will be rested during the season, plenty of opportunity for the young lads.
I'm not sure he has any clue just how well Horse communicates with the young ladsa about what's happening and our plans. It's a bloody long season, injuries happen. There's room to rotate and use the opportunities given.
Say what you will about Barrett, but at least he knows the Swans better than most of the hacks down in Vic.i just saw that segment, and yeah, lloyd offers some interesting thoughts but then spoils it when his swans ignorance is exposed ... although he's far from alone in that

Stocks up, stocks down: Bobby dazzles, but Lions have moments of regret
In the 2023 AFL Grand Final, Bobby Hill played a matchwinner's game, and Joe Daniher stood up for Brisbane. But two experienced Lions lowered their colours. Here's whose stocks are up and down.www.espn.com.au
Pretty low bar thoughSay what you will about Barrett, but at least he knows the Swans better than most of the hacks down in Vic.
Don't agree with this at all.Say what you will about Barrett, but at least he knows the Swans better than most of the hacks down in Vic.
Swans on the couch.
21mins in.
Parker miked up and a decent chat re.
Buddy is still the biggest name.Yeah I really enjoyed that.
What I don't enjoy is every bloody segment on every TV show only talking about Buddy even when he's not playing. Then just ignore our win and entire team.
